“Great Mexican Food in Berkeley”
Reviewed January 6, 2008

We tried this place because it is right across the street from the Rodeway Inn, the top ranked hotel in Berkelely, which is where we stayed.

The place was very clean. We grabbed some menus and sat ourselves. We then ordered at the counter.

We had the Carne Assada Burrito and Beef Tamales as well as a Margarita. chips were stale, but the 4 different kinds of salsa are bound to please most palates, as they pleased ours.

The Margarita was ok, a little more tart than I like, but I'd have one again.

The Burrito was huge, and tasted great. The Tamales were superb as well. I mixed them up with cheese and sour cream, doing the same for the wonderful refried beans. The refried beans were some of the best I've ever had, and the rice was good as well, though not great.

We both left stuffed and satisfied.

We will certainly be eating there again.
