“Not worth it”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2013

Food is overprized and not tasty nor filling. Empanadas are $5.00 dollars, they're small and not the real Chilean type. The restaurant cook is Mexican, go figure. The humitas are $5.00 dollars each and not worth it at all, it's a tamale with basil, however, the tamale is very small and thin, all they need to do is add a little more masa, which is cheap.

If they can't make good empanadas, which is their food "signature", I'm hesitant to try anything else, better safe than sorry. The new place is better but the food still the same crap.

“Authentic Chilean tasty food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2012

There are no other Chilean restaurants that I am aware of in the entire Bay area so I was excited to try this one being born in Chile. The food is very authentic and the service accomodating. They had the classics like Pastel de Choclo (wonderful corn and meat casserole) and the empanadas (stuffed savory pasteries). Food is not spicy like Mexican cuisine - just flavorful. Nice entertainment venue next door too - La Pena.

“The Empanada Vegetariana...”

The Empanada Vegetariana and Carotas were delicious! Dessert was in the form of flaky layered pasty filled with caramel milk and walnuts called Torta Milhoja.
