Great fast Indian food that could explain the growth and success of this new franchise in the bay area. We chose curried chicken, lamb curry, and butter chicken. All were excellent, the latter boasting an especially tangy taste. Portions were generous, particularly since we opted for the “dinners” costing $2 more. Back east, one could eat a full luncheon buffet at the same price, but I think the individual preparation and consistent quality of food at Chaat café more than justify the price structure. Atmosphere was pleasant with a mild Indian feel. I’ve heard that other restaurants in the chain are noisier, but this one was certainly conducive to quiet conversation with friends and family.
I would love to go back!
