Whether you're partial to roses or not, you can't beat the views from the Berkeley Rose Garden. It's the perfect place in the city for catching the sunset with spectacular views of the Bay including the Golden Gate Bridge. Of course, in season, the roses are breathtaking. But it's also a good starting point for a walk up Euclid St. to Grizzly Peak. It's not a flat walk, but not steep either, and a wonderful way to catch some of the architectural gems of houses in Berkeley. You'll also encounter a number of additional open spaces with no houses blocking spectacular views of the Bay including Mt. Tamalpais. It's totally a "Wow!" experience.
