Popular place, but not one we'd rush back to. Very noisy, hard to hold a conversation. Most of the entrees were meat based. The service was good although we felt a little rushed.
The food was good, but not exciting or even memorable. It is also on the pricey side....

Was a fun experience, from the unique staff to the interesting menu, with a Farm to Fork (and glass) philosophy. Went for Happy Hour had a Duck & Fig flat bread Pizza, a Home made Coppa platter & Chicharones - along with a couple fresh margaritas - The food was all fine for what it is, maybe a little pricey, I really liked the fresh margarita's with a great price! - A fun and varied staff the androgynous bartender we had, was very helpful and guided us in the right direction - had a nice time, look fwd to returning for dinner.

Service, food excellent. We had a B'day celebration and the cake, the candles we brought was served as dessert 'Wine by the glass had good selection but non-alcoholic drinks really need an review in order to match the excellent food. The duck was moist and tender, the accompanyng orzotto and grape sauce were very close to perfection. Awesome, tasty, delicious. I do recommend to all.

We LOVED Revival! Very close to UC Berkeley and the hotel we stayed at. Service, food, drinks, atmosphere...all excellent. Our waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable . Took all her suggestions (I asked for them) and was glad I did. Never would have tried the drink special or meal without her suggestion. The food is all local, sustainable, farm-to-table cuisine. You can taste the freshness. We would recommend this and look forward to going back whenever we return to Berkeley.

Pluses: The food here is creative and interesting. The atmosphere is upscale bar and kitchen, and is quite pleasing. The service was attentive and efficient. We had two tasty salads and a small but interesting green tomato, corn, + padron pepper fritter appetizer.

Minuses: The cocktail I had could have been all ice, fruit juice and water, could have had 10 of them and wouldn't have known I was consuming alcohol. The duck was done well but lacked any sides, maybe a veggie or starch would have been nice. The cannelloni was interesting but very small portion for a relatively high price considering it was a meatless pasta.

Overall the bill was too high, and I say this having paid far more for a meal and yet been fully satisfied.
