Enter the Park from Wildcat Canyon and you will find a meadow where a really nice trail starts. It is a very nice loop of a trail, a little hike up the hill with bushes of wild birds at the top there is view of a small valleyM. In summer months you might see big snakes curling and sleeping on the trail, mostly quite harmless unless disturbed. There are caves at the top of the hills remnants from the old Native days. At the other side of the trail there is a small creek with clear running water, rather pleasant to hear. Morning time is the best and you will be greeted by friendly fellow hikers. Enjoy ! A little a bit further there is Lake Anza. With meadows to play with the dogs or frisbies or just plain picknicking with bbq facilities. You can also hike around the lake be careful of small green snakes, they might cross the trail or fall from the trees, quite harmless. Enjoy summer months at Lake Anza ! There is another trail further up toward Walnut Creek, I forgot the name, also very nice and quite lonhger than Wildcat, you can ride your bicycle to Walnut Creek I think. I recommend to visit Tilden if you love nature while you are in the Bay Area !
