Great location for public train to San Fran and some shopping. Terrific restaurant beside motel. Motel Pet friendly - carpets stained due to this but expected - rooms pretty clean - staff friendly - large truck parking only at front so be early - close to ocean - pool clean - no complaints

Room Tip: there are rooms facing pool area if you want to request that - pool surrounded by 3 buildings

I was there for 1 night. I was not satisfied with the room, the windows were broken, the toilet had pludged. I simple don't feel good there, that's all. The staff was OK. The room looked like very old and uncomfortable.

For a 1 day stay, I would, but for multiple stays, I would not. Motel 6 Belmont has 4 hotel buildings, the building you see on Motel6.com pictures is not the picture of the 3 other buildings which is aging and looks unsightly. For the good, the room we got was of no smell and was very clean. Everything looks and feels like a hotel room which was one of the reason we stayed. Also it was surprisingly quiet, another reason we stayed. There was a lot more foreigners than I expected. For the bad, the smell in building C is borderline sick. I've never smelled anything like that before, it was so bad that we almost left, but the positives outweight it. The room we got, there was only 1 elevator in the building and we were in the far end of the building, we had to walk from end to end than to another end to get to the car which was the safest parking lot. Another bad is closing the hotel doors, it is really loud, almost as loud as police banging on a door. I do not like hotels with pets, it seemed like all the guests had one. Speaking of the good is that lady that was very honest when I asked about wifi because it is not good using it at prime hours. For a layover, I would do, but beyond that, I would not stay.

Room Tip: Choose the newer building (D) and choose building closer to the elevators for easy access, but the q...

If you you're desperate for a hotel then sure check in, but if you aren't desperate drive away. The location is odd too it's by a bunch of business and warehouses and there's no other life near by. There's a restaurant in front of the hotel.

This is the most horrible motels that we've ever stayed. I will give it no star. The room we booked was a non-smoking room. But when we arrived, they only had a smoking room left. That was 8 pm and we couldn't find any other vacant hotel to stay. We had no choice but took the smoking room. The room was stinking and dirty. The hallway smelled like dead rat. No hair dryer in the room. No free Wi-Fi. The mattresses look like 30 years old that were picking up from the street. We went to sleep around 12:30 am and felt itchy all over the body. When we waked up around 2 am to used the bathroom, my husband found a lot of bed bugs on both of the beds. At least 20 bed bugs in different sizes crawling around on both of the beds. It seems like they were there for a long time. We called the motel front desk and asked if they know the bed bugs problem. They said it happened sometimes. But I think that they know the bed bugs problem is always there and it takes too much to eliminate them, that's why they just left it and hoping people staying won't notice it. The staying in Motel 6 Belmont ruined our whole trip. We had to check out at midnight and stayed in our car – freezing and scary. We supposed to have other days to visit Monterey that we had to cancel. We drove all the way back home drowsily, took all the clothes to the laundry and dry cleaner, vaccum our car and luggage – it was just too much trouble!!! Your Corperation Headquarters should go check with this motel and take effective measure to force the owner to take care of the bed bugs problems.

After checking in my wife and I and baby went up to our room on the third floor to drop off our luggage. Entering the halls, the elevator, stairwells, the room, and the bed. Everywhere, cigarette smell!!! Our room was non-smoking but that did not matter, the room smelled like an ash tray. To air out the room, we opened the window and noticed no screens; and further examination, looking out into the pool courtyard...no screens on most of the windows on the second and third floor rooms. This is not a safe place for children!

Room Tip: Hold your breath when walking the halls. The elevator is slow smelly and stuffy, use the stairs our...
