i'm not sure if the pasta is homemade but it certainly tastes like it. we have been to Divino a few times and I haven't been able to take any leftovers home once no matter how hard I try and thier portions are large. The food and service are really good, the corkage charge is reasonable and this is good authenic italian. i had the PAPPARDELLE ALLA BOLOGNESE CON PORCINI which is something I never order but it was fantastic. My sweetheart had the POLLO IN PORCHETTA and this is the farthest thing from boring chicken. BIETOLA (sauteed swiss chard) was a first for me and now i'm making it at home. We live close to belmont and its great to have a SF quality restaurant in our neighborhood.

We have been to Divino a number of times and have always like it.
Food: The food is very good, the favors authentic and there is attention to detail to the preparation. This will keep us going back. The menu does change frequently and the dishes are quite different that what you would see in a regular Italian place. This section gets high marks. The wine list is poor at best, we always take our own and pay the corkage.
Service: It is a white table cloth restaurant and they mean well. The service can be disappointing at times but never very bad.
Atmosphere: They strive to make the dining experience very nice and almost succeed. Sometimes you get large groups and it can tend to get loud. Ask to be moved and they will do that willingly.
Overall, a good restaurant and we will keep going back for dinner.

Perfetto! The food is delicious and authentic, the staff is friendly; the atmosphere is warm and inviting; and the chef humble, yet obviously talented. A gem of a place!!!

Standards are high at this pleasant Italian place, fortunately open on Sunday. Service was very well-informed, relaxed and attentive. A risotto special was creamy, not overly cheesy, with butternut squash, perfectly cooked. The linguini con vongole was al dente, sauce not creamy, just perfect and very flavorful; we tend to be fussy about shellfish, and were not disappointed. Another special of a veal scallopini variant was excellent, and a lamb rotelli was also. An appetizer of bacala (salted cod) was not salty, with artichokes and potatoes--very tasty. Another appetizer, also described as a chef's specialty, of stuffed squid with vegetables was very fine. Our friends shared an excellent salad, avoiding the anchovy caesar due to food sensitivities. Corkage was less than usual in this area; we came with our wine-salesman friend, so we did not look closely, but the wine list is probably fine. Desserts--apple puff pastry, and creme brulee--were equally well done. This is the kind of food we ate in Bologna, and so we left very well pleased. 11/16/08.

I have eaten at a lot of Italian restaurants in the Bay Area, and Divino is outstanding. I first tried Bacco in S.F. when Chef Vincenzo Cucco was the co-owner and Chef. I was happy to find out that Divino was closer to home in the Peninsula and the food is just as outstanding with Vincenzo Cucco as the owner/chef.
