We wanted to take our daughter and son-in-law out for a "good" meal whilst we were staying with them in Adelaide and they said this was "the best"
Fantastic view from our table over Adelaide. One thing we have found in Australian Restaurants is that they are always chaotic and this was no different. Usual thing , you are drinking sparkling water and they pour still in to top it up etc etc. We did get one wrong dish. The table was perfectly laid and the glasses and cutlery sparkling clean.
Long waits between courses and my main course was tepid , not hot. I asked for it to be heated--it never was. We asked for the cheese board--there were a few bits of unrecognizable cheese , looking very sad. Please do not say "but it is late"--you are meant to be the best in town! As we live in Europe and adore cheese , we are still very sceptical whether or not they were bits (yes bits) of french cheese.
One small niggle no hot water in the toilets.
In general the food and service was good , but it is very pretentious.

Great food, views and service. Parking is easy. Bookings essential. We booked for the Friday night 8.30pm sitting. We arrived early hoping for a table but the 6 o'clock crowd was still in full session. And why not.
Drinks at the bar made a casual start to the evening.
We had a window seat which was fantastic with unrestricted views across the lights of Adelaide. I imagine the view is good from most tables.
The menu is at the upper end of the price range but don't hold back. It is worth every cent.
Water can be tap (free) still or sparkling. We had the tap.
A wide and wonderful menu selection.
The natural oysters were fresh and tasty. I did wish I had the tasting range of 10 oysters for $26. Next time!
Mains were fantastic and steak was cooked to a tee.
Deserts look sensational. My friends worked their way through the chocolate tasting plate. I don't know how they managed. It looked great and they left nothing on the plate.
Service was exceptional.
A great place to go for that special occasion or to entertain interstate or overseas friends.

Had an extended family dinner for Pa's 80th. Very nice. All food was well liked. Service very good even though they were full 4 days before Christmas. I'm sure on another night the service would have been a bit more personable.
A special environment and fabulous view.
High price range but worth it

apparently cheaper than the main restaurant the views were spectacular and the menu had good number of choices, also don't expect to pay café prices but then again this is cheaper than the main restaurant
The view stunning especially as the city lights up for the night
I found the wait service to be uncomfortable, the waiter all over us topping up the water every few min whilst we were settling in and trying to navigate the menu, once mains were served the waiter seemed bored and disinterested and we had to hail him to get the menu for desert we did not order more drinks because he was missing in action loudly discussing staffing issues with 2 other staff members and not making eye contact with our table. He also confidently informed us none of the deserts had nuts included when we checked (just to be sure for a family member with nut allergy - strong needing epi-pen) and looked flustered when we pointed to another plate just served to our table with almond flakes all over the top. Anyhow a great place to take family visiting from UK on their last night in Australia and despite average service we enjoyed ourselves.

I've visited this restaurant twice a year for the last 8 years. Ever ytime I go the service is top notch, attentive and respectful. The menu changes with the seasons and sources from great local produce. The dish of the night is most often desert - the chocolate tasting platter is a great shared item that leaves everyone very satisfied. The view is also stunning and memorable. I am proud to recommend this dining venue to other Adelaideans and visitors.
