“Wanted to stay forever”
Reviewed April 13, 2005

We couldn't get a room here on the first night of our mini vacation and had to pay $10 more in the city of Morro Bay for a motel that was worth $50 less. Although the weather was quite breezy and cool, if sunny, the ambience more than made up for it. The room was homey and romantic with a lanai( you could look out at the bay from your bed, ). It iss an ideal place to totally relax. It is a short walk to Thai, Italian, and Mexican restaurants, as well as a corner market. And, if you needed it, you could get a coffee creation and breakfast treat at the espresso place at the far end of the motel parking lot! However, the breakfast basket graciously deliverd to each room was more than enough for us. There is a small dock in the front of the inn for bay watching and dog-watching. Locals bring their dogs to walk and play in and out of the water. Then, there is the tide going out and coming back in again...an experience we caught on digital camera. Truly amazing little corner of the universe. I hope it stays unspoiled during my lifetime, because we will continue to come back as often as we can (like this weekend for example). It's worth the 250+ mile drive for a two night stay because once you park your car and unpack there's really no need to get back into the car until it's (regrettably) time to go.
