My family stayed pines resort 2 days. I satisfied with both of room and outer environment.
At first space is very wide. we used 1st floor and 2nd floor. this included bed room, bath room(1st floor) living room, kitchen, balcony(2nd floor). And bed room is comfortable.
this resort locate at the near lake and many trees. We enjoyed fresh air, swimming pool and playing field.

The setting of this resort couldn't be more beautiful. The room was spacious and comfortable and we loved the big jet spa in the bathroom. Our only real complaint is that we got back to the room after a long day to find that our room was not cleaned at all which naturally would infuriate any guest - and we made sure that the "please clean our room" sign was on our doorknob! The front desk couldn't do anything about it and offered nothing to remedy this oversight; as if it wasn't their problem which really surprised us.
He restaurant was fantastic with huge picture windows, good food and very professional and friendly servers!

Room Tip: Stay in a lower flower if you have a lot of luggage - may be easier for you.

I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay as well as the restaurants. I would like for you to contact me regarding the issues you had during your stay. I am surprised to hear that front desk did not do anything for you. The front desk is usually very accomodating. Please contact me at 559-642-3121.

A friend and I stayed here in June 2011 for about 3 days, in a chalet. Our intention was to stay here and go to Yosemite for a day from here, which we did. It's about a one hour drive from the park, but worth it in my opinion.
The views from the resort are simply stunning. You can swim in the lake or chill by the pool on a warm day.
The rooms are old, but charming. We stayed in chalets which were spacious and the overall experience of being in them was what made the trip. I slept on a fold out bed, which wasn't too comfy, but in all honesty I didn't mind.
I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it.

What a serene, tranquil, refreshing atmosphere! In early March, the climate is mild enough to walk around with or without a light sweater. We had our annual planning session and they were prepared to assist readily. The Pahoma Room is business-ready with a refrigerator, microwave, computer, printer, and meeting supples. We brought our own technology, but it's good to know they're thinking of our needs. The room is right above the lake, so we took breaks to walk on the dock and other trails. We had buffet breakfasts in our meeting room, lunch next door in the Grill and Bar, and dinner downstairs in the superb Ducey's restaurant. The dinner early bird specials (arrive by 6pm) saved $$ on one night so we could treat ourselves to the regular menu on another night. Nice! The chalets are fun to stay in: roomy and private. One of us had the executive chalet so we could gather in the late evening for socializing and games. The chalets are paired to have adjoining contact which helped to expand the party. We're definitely going back!

Room Tip: The chalets have two queen beds and some have lofts so you could sleep more folks (in sleeping bags...

Stayed here with a large group recently, in a lake front suite. The buildings and grounds are beautiful, but like many mountain destinations, the rooms need a little help. Furnishings are somewhat dated, and there are some basic problems. The plumbing is weak (toilet clogged easily). The shower temperature was a moving target. The large jacuzzi tub is literally 5 feet from the front door, so be SURE no one will be coming and going while you're in the tub! The bed was okay, but not overly comfortable.

On the plus side, it's in a beautiful location, right on the lake. There's a giant deck literally outside your door, and so many things to do outside. The grill and restaurant at Ducey's are both quite good, with beautiful atmosphere.

I went to this resort with my family and it was a wonderful experience. The cabins and the rooms were very clean, and the view was spectacular. Many people go here for vacation and it is a suitable vacation spot for family. USA Today Newspaper commented it as: "One of the 10 Best Lodges" and the Sunset Magazine praised it as: "One of the Best Lakes in California". There is a wonderful restaurant there, and the food is scrumptious. The view of the lake is complimenting with the meals.

my girlfriend and i only stayed here for one night, it was a bit of a random one as we hated san fransisco so decided to come to yosemite a night early so we picked this place and we are sorry we never stayed for the whole time we had in yosemite, this place was amazing, we got a suite which had a jacuzzi in and was very clean and relaxing, great views over the lake. we got there quite late so we just sat in the jacuzzi but the next day we took a private boat out onto the lake and spent a couple of hours out and relaxed, we managed to spot a bear!! (see pics) there is a beach, jet ski's and other water sports. there is a nice restaurant on site but we never had time to eat there sadly. when we go back to yosemite we will pay for sure stay here.
