“had a pleasant Stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2014

Good place to stay, the food is good and the view of the lake is also good. We got into a 1 bed cabin which is good enough for 2 people. The patio is huge and had pleasant view of the lake. Spending time on the deck is good especially in summer, The only downside is the proximity to the gate. It is about 18 miles away from the Yosemite gate. otherwise good place to stay.

“70 year old best kept secret”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2014

Have relished "The Forks" burgers for years (when I was a local). This time we spent the weekend in one of their cabins, overlooking the lake...Amazing...can't wait to do it again. Everything was perfect. Ron and the entire crew are all down to earth, real people, who make it their mission to do whatever they can to enhance your stay.

“Outdoor casual dining with lake view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2014

Burgers, salads, shakes outside looking at the lake. What's not to like? They are only open 7 months out of the year and this year could not offer boating because the drought is so bad that the lake doesn't reach their dock.

“Good burgers; great view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 21, 2014

The best thing about this restaurant is the view of Bass Lake and outdoor seating. The second best thing is the prices. I had a burger. You can add extra patties for a charge. Fries are extra. I got the half and half--half fries and half onion rings and it was a very large serving. You will definitely get your grease quota for the day. My husband had the chicken fried steak, which wasn't nearly as good as our local place, but okay. It comes with brown gravy and my husband swore the mashed potatoes were instant. My son's girlfriend out ordered us all with a BLT on sour dough bread. It looked very good. But again, on a nice day or evening, you can't beat sitting on the patio drinking in the view.

“Best Burger Joint Between Yosemite & the San Joaquin Valley”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2014

My wife and drive 20 miles for a burger here numerous times a year. The place is really a big bait shop with a small restaurant (approx. 6 tables and a diner-like bar) on one side. It's been there since this baby boomer was in grade school, and it still serves its large "Forks Burger" just as it did back then -- the old fashioned way. Portions are large and service is friendly.
