Only open from April until the end of September, this is a great place for an old-school treat.
Hand-made milkshakes. Yummy onion rings. Great beer on tap. And the burgers!
Crowded on weekends, but worth the wait. We love the Forks!

Thank SVLinda

My wife and I stop and got cabin #8 a one bedroom suite which was great. It sets up about the store and restaurant just across the street from Bass Lake. The cabin was large with living area, dining area, full kitchen, bath and bedroom. It was very rustic and comfortable. It sets on the side of the hill on the second floor with a balcony having four chairs and table. You 20 feet up into the pine trees. Setting on the balcony you can look between the pines and see the lake, it's beautiful. The kitchen has everything you will need except a blender. The only disposable items the provide in the kitchen is salt, pepper, paper towels, and clean material. Soap is only provided in the bathroom. There is TV with local channels, no cable and no Wi-Fi in room. There is no maid service, but you have everything you need and if you need new linen you can pick it up at the general store during normal store hours. There are laundry facilities in the cabin area. There is a restaurant (try their burgers and let know what you think) on the property and the general has most things that you might need. The do have boat rentals too. We rental the 25 ft party boat, it was really nice and easy to operated. All the staff on the property was great. Over all it is a great place and we highly recommend this place to everyone and we will be back.

We'd been traveling all day to get to Bass Lake and weren't in the mood for a big meal. We skipped the suggested hamburgers. Instead we noshed on chicken, fresh salads, and onion rings. All were edible but nothing to really write home about.

The service was great, which means a lot when you're not from around town. The wait staff were always there to refill our drinks, get our order in and served, and also able to gab a little bit about the area.

Next time we will have to try their famous hamburgers.

It's a great tourist spot if you're touring in Bass Lake. If you've been at the lake all day (the best location is by "the falls" which is a little cove area near the pines which has a small waterfall you can slide down, or you can hike up the river and it's a great location for boats too) and you just want to grab a bite to eat, the Forks is where to go. They have the tastiest burgers and milkshakes, the best burger is their cheese burger on toasted sourdough bread. They have great service and outdoor seating along with indoor seating. They also have a little tourist shop on the other end of the diner. It over looks the lake too. Really nice place to relax after being at the lake all day!
