This has always been my first choice of places to stay when i'm in the area. Rooms are always clean, fresh and ample space to spread out. The onsite restaurant has a good selection of items on the menu to choose from.

I was nervous on the reviews and based on a previous recent stay at a dated doubletree. My room was clean, no mold in the showers and pretty spacious compared to most hotel rooms.

I called last minute and got a AAA rate of 92.16 compared to the 126 on Hotel Tonight and the rack rate.

Scuff marks on the walls, but nothing else to complain about. Great for a quick overnight stay on a long road trip, would stay elsewhere if I was going to be in town any length of time and wanted to enjoy the property.

In its day this was a premier hotel in Bakersfield, but today it is an old facility that desperately needs a facelift. The staff was great but the overall hotel needs some work. The chairs in the room were bad enough I wanted to put a towel over them before I sat down.

Terrible service, broken equipment (jacuzzi and ice machines). The staff was not responsive to our needs. The room had dirty ice containers. The facility is showing its age and needs lots of updating. Not worth the. $160 a night per room we paid

I attended a conference at the Bakersfield Double Tree. The conference rooms were the right size, clean with good use of technology. My hotel room was near the conference center which I enjoyed. The hotel rooms were clean with a comfortable bed. My room was on the freeway side but the noise level was minimal.
