We were a bit worried about staying here after reading some of the reviews, but we had a great experience! Staff were very friendly, very spacious clean rooms and everything we needed for a good night's sleep. We asked for a quiet room so had a room on the top floor at the back which was extremely quiet. It is a big old hotel however still great value for money. We have stayed in 7 hotels so far on our road trip and this one has been the best value all round - more than half the price of some of the other hotels which, quite frankly, have been surprisingly dire. This was a pleasant stay. Only one gripe is that the pool (which is lovely) was ice cold so we were not able to swim. Other than that, would certainly recommend this hotel for a stopover.

I would highly recommend this hotel due to the customer service and the comfort of the rooms. Yes, this hotel is older but its comfortable, the rooms are a great size and I cannot say enough about the friendliness of the staff. I travel all the time for business and customer service makes all the difference in the overall comfort of my stays. I will also say that its very quiet which allows for a great night sleep.
