This is the third Don Perico's in Bakersfield that opened in the old El Torito's restaurant on California Ave.
The food is very good, we had been there for dinner since they opened, and decided to try the brunch. We probably didn't pick the best day being it was Fathers day, and we usually go to brunch early, but we didn't get there until 10:00 am. It was more crowded than we would normally endure, but we stayed.
We liked everything, I especially loved the posole. The only negative with the food is the Kitchen could not keep enchiladas on the buffet. I saw people standing there waiting for enchiladas, for 10 min or more.
I knew there would be Mariachi's, which I usually hate, but these guys were actually not bad.
All in all we enjoyed ourselves
