The facility is homey. the receptionists were very helpful, and the room was bigger than I expected. It was well furnished with free wifi. Laundary facilities and pool were very clean. The breakfast area, which is in the lobby was quite messy; ad the cleaning staff could have been more attentive.

Overall the room was fine. What was such a disappointment was the front desk. We were looking for a hotel with a pool and thought we had found one. We asked during the check in process if they had a pool. They responded with yes, it closes at 10. So we unpacked, had dinner, and headed down to the pool only to find it very green and closed. We inquired at the front desk and were told, by the same girl that checked us in, that the pool was closed because it was green. Ummm, didn't you just tell us an hour ago that you had one and it closed at 10?

I read other reviews about the poor customer service at this location and brushed it off. But to outright lie and lock us into a room minus the one ammenity we desired is unacceptable.

Traveling from San Francisco, we enjoyed a restful night sleep at this hotel. It is in a newer business section of the city with quality dining nearby. Very clean, updated, and professional friendly service.

This hotel was clean & quiet. The in room kitchen worked great for us to bring some food along and save some money without eating out. My kids had a great time in the pool. The hot breakfast was a nice change from the typical continental spread you get at most hotels these days. Additionally, it is located in a very nice neighborhood close to a movie theater, shopping and restaurants. We would definitely stay again!!

Went there for an overnight stay. Checked in with my wife an daughter age 9. We bokked Four Points earlier but cancelled it because Homewood Suites is the nearest hotel near our friends house. We went there for the River End Rafting. Booked through a third party website (lmtclub.com) and got it only for $105/night plus taxes , sums up to around $120. Comes with free wifi, parking and buffet hot continental breakfast which is a good deal. Tried to book via hilton website/customer service but cant give the same rate as LMTclub. We stayed on a king suite with fridge, microwave and stove with utensils. They do offer a popcorn for free (w/c my daughter like). I like the fact that they do have lots of sugar, creamer, tea , salt and pepper on the kitchen area as well. When I say lot, its really a lot, not one, two, three packets..... Checked the area, the room was nice and big, clean, like the kitchen, probably for longer stay, it really helps. They also had free dinner on Mondays to Thursdays with free beers/drinks.But the only thing that disappoints me is their POOL. Its really DIRTY! NO HOT TUB as well. The other reviewer was right! You will never imagine yourself swimming in that kind of pool. I hope the management will try to fix these issue for this will give a negative impact on their reputation. I guess thats all. Hope this helps.

Stayed with two teenage kids for two nights early June. Booking was done through 3rd Party website.
Location can't be beat for Bakersfield. Near CSU Bakersfield, Most oil companies offices, and most importantly walking distance from the market place! We used to live in Bakersfield close by, and loves going to Stockdale's Market Place.
Check in was quick and efficient. Front desk was able to find us a room in ground floor - good service!
Room was not very big, but we only use the room to rest and sleep. There's a small but very well equipped kitchenette, fridge, dishwasher and microwave. Sliding door cupboard is hidden behind the full height mirror, and also holds ironing board and iron.
The room has a small sofa so either of the kids can relax or even sleep there. Flat screen TV, and big comfy bed.
Dressing mirror and wash basin is outside of the bathroom; there's no waiting for the bathroom use or cloudy mirror after a shower! The bathroom is of good size, shower and bath quite small.
There's a small gym but only has 2 treadmills, 1 static bike and a few weights.
Breakfast was OK. Quite a lot of choices - cereals, yogurt, fruits. Hot choices usually french fries and omelette. Breakfast area quite large and roomy, overlooking the small pool.
Check out was very fast and efficient.
All in all, this is a nice place to be in Bakersfield either for a short trip or even a longer stay.

I have only stayed a couple of times in Bakersfield and this is a great choice. it's easy to get to, but thankfully not right on the freeway (hwy99).
I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms. the kitchenette is great - has a full size refrigerator, microwave and stove. free popcorn (the kids loved that). they offer a free full breakfast in the mornings. free wifi too! it was a very comfortable stay. i would definitely stay there again.

My 2 issues were:
1) upon check-in, we had an issue because we booked a reward stay online for a 1 bedroom suite, but when we arrived, they gave us a studio suite. they said they were fully booked so couldn't accommodate us the 1st night, and had to move us for the 2nd night. there was nothing they could do....

the pool was horribly filthy - it was green, not the clear, blue color that I expect at a hotel to have that has many people & kids swimming in it. we called the front desk to notify them, they said they would contact maintenence, but we were there for 2 days and nothing was ever done. blech...
