Hilton Garden Inn Bakersfield is a good hotel, however as gold members we are entitled to breakfast. The breakfast was decent but the service was very mediocare. The servers were busy visiting with each other, never offered coffee, and removed plates at a very slow pace.

I thought the Hilton had a reputable name, but staying at this hotel really changed my look on where to stay for business trips. I will not be staying in this hotel again. I was taking a shower and the towel I was using had hair from another tenant. I did complain about it, but it is not satisfactory about the cleanliness of this establishment. I would recommend to stay at the Hilton Homewood Suites instead.

Clean hotel, but not what I expected from a Hilton and not for the price in Bakersfield. The breakfast was not included in the price of the room. It was individually cooked with lots of extras. The staff were extremely helpful and caring. I will probably not stay here again. There a a lot of hotels in this area and we felt safe. It was quiet. There were several restaurants close by, but we did need to drive to them.

Location is right off the freeway, so it is convenient but quiet. The rooms are nice and we were comfortable. We stayed here for one night to watch a high school competition and it was just fine. We added the breakfast option and it was a buffet with lots of choices and nice service.

Room Tip: We asked for a quiet room with a view. They gave us the best view they had--essentially a parking l...

Hotel was clean and room was nice. We are Hilton Honors members, gold status, and the breakfast was very good. We stayed here in our way to Las Vegas and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. The bed was on the hard side. Some of the rooms have adjustbable beds, but ours did not.

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel one night on a roadtrip across the country to San Francisco. The hotel is in an area with several other hotels away from the main road but in a location close to restaurants and a Target. It felt very safe. The room was very clean. We were on the first floor and the ceilings were very high and the room was large. The furnishings were a bit outdated. It was very quiet and we had a good night's sleep. There was no free breakfast though.

We arrived here in the evening on the first day of a 4 week road trip around the USA from the UK. We opted not to stay near LAX on on landing and decided to ignor jet lag pick up our rental and head for kings canyon.

We were totally exhausted when we got here but the reception staff were really welcoming and efficient and we shown to our room straight away. From what we saw of this hotel everything was clean and well maintained. We had arrived just as the kitchens were closing for the evening but they said as we had come such a long way they would remain open so we could eat, which was a really nice touch.

There followed a very comfortable, and quiet nights' sleep albeit waking up at odd hours due to jet lag.

All in all a good start to out trip

Well done Hilton

Will defo stay here again if in the area
