Quality Inn & Suites

First room was not acceptable but second room was adequate. Staff was extremely sympathetic regarding the first room, but were courteous and helpful. The complimentary breakfast consisted of bacon, eggs, toast, bagles, waffles, cereal juice, etc. Better spread than most complimentary breakfeasts. Would stay here again plus the price was right.

Room Tip: Hotel is set back away from freeway noise so I don't think there is a bad room, although we had...

We got an inside room facing the pool, unfortunately the pool was empty so not much to look at. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast is served across the parking lot in a nightclub building. The room was clean with the usual shampoo, soap amenities provided. For the money, it was definitely adequate.

This appears to be one of the newer and better Quality Inns. Greeted well and handled professionally by the lady at the front desk. A few things are off here: The pool area is down for the count. We stayed four days and saw no effort being made to get it repaired. Room was nice but the door had to be slammed or it would not shut. We had waffles the first day and the last but not during the weekend. Was told they were out of batter, but there were about ten cases stacked in the lobby when we checked in. Otherwise, a fairly good pedestrian Quality Inn with a beautiful pool area you cannot use.

Room Tip: Elevators. Take a rear room; they are very quiet. Ice is a little hard to find, but it is there in t...

Not much to say as just stayed here a night but the rooms are clean, quiet and in a good location. Bed was comfortable which forced us to stay until check-out time.

Not a bad place to stay for the price, however, it's located in a questionable area of town, quite industrial and not much to choose from other than fast food eaterys.
A complimentary hot breakfast is offered at an onsite breakfast bar.
Don't waste your time on this one, it's a real joke, waffle maker (but no syrup), a few pieces of bacon, cold cereal and a few pastries.
Oh and the abandoned restaurant that it is setup in was unheated!
Probably would look for a different place to stay if in the Bakersfield area again.

I accidently left some clothing items on the floor in my room, including a fairly expensive dress shirt. When I got home, I called the hotel and asked if housekeeping had saved these items in "lost and found". They said they did not have them. I can only assume that the maid either threw them out, or took them home. This is not the way to treat a guest at your hotel.

We chose this place for the location near the highway in the North side of town because we wanted to be past the traffic for starting out the next day. Our stay was reasonably priced and the room was pretty good. We also noticed the smell outside the hotel, but I think it is the area and not the hotel. We didn't notice it in the room, although the shower water was a bit musty. The staff was efficient, but not exactly enthusiastic. They did the job with politeness though, so I didn't mind. Breakfast was pretty good as hotel breakfasts go. It was in the place next door, but the food was warm enough and got us on our way quickly. All in all a pretty good place. We will stay there again.
