“Good food and drinks but not cheap.”
Reviewed August 14, 2012

We just stumbled across this place on our way back out of Sequoia Park returning to our motel at Three Rivers.
It was a Friday evening and very quiet.
From the front the place looks quite small but there are plenty of tables inside and outdoors on the back terrace too which was a nice setting to eat, we watched Ravens chasing one another and Turkey vultures flying overhead.
Waitress was friendly and poured a good large glass of wine! The Shock Top wheat beer was good too.
We just ate steaks which were well cooked and tasty although the prices were a little on the high side but I guess it’s a touristy area so to be expected.
All round good service and food, worth a visit for sure.

I have a weekend home about a mile below Mt. house. A few months ago i invited friends to join me for some drinks there, and now there are always asking me when there going to be invited again. Too funny because they sound like a bunch of little kids wanting to go play. Its a realy nice play to chill and hangout. Its never dull moment. Great food , drinks .. highly recommend Mt. house.

“Funky and fun with affordable, tasty food & drinks with great service.”

It is what it is! Located about 2,700 feet in elevation, at the crossroads of CA-245 & Dry Creek Drive / CR-J21. A funky farm country old fashioned bar and grill kind of place. When we left Pickups, Cars, Bikes & Bicycles were in the parking area. The Bicyclists & Bikers, Locals & Tourists mingled easily here. Serving good food at reasonable prices, a small and clean bar, lunch counter and dining area. with nice views from the patio and friendly people and service. An old fashioned Shuffle Board table, a Pool table and lots of room for dancing indoors and out. When the band gets going it must be great fun on weekends! My wife Bobbi had a 1/3 lb Cheeseburger she liked very much & a Beer. I had a Two Cheese Grilled cheese sandwich with crisp Bacon on it & a Screwdriver ( or two ). Awsome 11:00 AM late breakfast refueling stop. Cost on 06/07/2011, $26.00 w/tip. Breakfast served on weekends only. I discovered at their web site that you can stay overnight in a tent, camper or under the stars if you wish for free onsite. They have a Bandstand, Picnic Table and Fire pit out back too. See pictures.
We spotted this place during our back roads only journey from Three Rivers, CA to Fish Camp, CA (at the S. entrance to Yosemite). The trip here from our Three Rivers cabin at SEQUOIA RIVERFRONT CABINS (Reviewed separately) located below the entrance to Sequoia National Park to Badger was a 45 Minute / 28.5 mile drive with a gas stop. To get here we drove down the hill on Sierra Dr / CA-198 from Three Rivers, CA to Lemon Cove, CA and the Prince Mart Gas station located at the turn off to Badger & Dunlap. At the intersection of Sierra Dr & Lomitas Rd. After buying gas we took Lomitas Rd north from Sierra Drive 6/10th of a mile to the 1st right onto Dry Creek Drive / CR-J21 towards Badger, Dunlap and Yosemite. A pretty 30 Minute drive from Lemon Cove to Badger. Note: Dry Creek Drive stream was not dry! Very wet with lots of white water when we drove up along side it! A very beautiful drive in spring. We highly recommend this place and trip.
