If you are a foodie this place is for you - NOTHING pretentious and everything local (and I mean local-local) produce. Mushrooms from the hills, meats from the local farms - veg from the kitchen garden and wine from the farm 200m down the road. The host has good (if rusty) English and is hugely knowlegable about everything they serve, where it is from and how it is cooked - and why - and he is keen to share it all with his visitors.
The cook ? his mother - has a flair and an enthusiasm for everthing she makes from soups to cakes (to die for - and I dont 'do' puds (when anyone is looking)).
We found it by accident and made a trip back from the UK to see if it was as good as I remembered -and it was.
Unpreposessing building and rustic inside - perfect, About 40 Euros a head for a barrage of plates and tastes including the perfect accompaniment of local fizzy white, and red wine.
These guys have talent.
