This was our first trip to Algonquin Provincial Park and we have not been dissapointed. We stayed at the campground at Kearny Lake. Bring everything as you can´t buy anything except from ice and firewood at the Pog Lake campground about 500m east on Highway 60. But usual you either like or dislike camping. The sanitary facilities with showers and toilets are very new and were very clean. No complaints. We did not see anything to do your dishes. They even have washing machines.
The Park itself has a lot to offer. You can either go on hiking, biking and of course canoeing. There are hikes for all levels. We did a few of some and they were all nice. It always took as less time than indicated although we stopped a lot to take pictures. One of the best things you can do is rent a canoe for a day at Lake Opeongo. We have never done it before. But enjoyed our 5 hours on the lake. We went into a small creek and saw an otter family playing right in front of our canoe.
