This place is like a hidden jewel!!! Scented towels upon arrival as you sit in the swinging bench. Quiet, peace, and the most spectacular spa with a hot springs waterfall and soaking pool. Wonderful spa. Excellent food. Rustic, yet elegant rooms. Terrific service. We spent New Years here too and had wonderful buffets for the holiday.

Thank Melanie H

Poor signage as you park up there's a sign pointing to bathrooms pointing left (which we could not find), but if you go beyond the family waterfall (right) you find other changing rooms (basic- so it's best to arrive with your kit on).

The family waterfall is very hot, I struggled to get in. Go past it and then you see the main waterfall, which is busier and bearable. But watch out whilst the waterfall is excellent (pressure/temp) the water in the cave behind/above it nearly scalded me.

Wife/daughter declined to go in as they would have been the only ones wearing a bikini. The locals were either clothed or in a burkini. That said they could have gone to the ladies waterfall, but they said the women there also were still wearing burkinis. I had no problems wearing my trunks. One tourist pitched up in a full cossie and no-one paid nay attention to her, but she was much older than the Mrs...

We were walking and following a route in the Cicerone Press book (which is excellent) This book has a forward written by and is endorsed by the Queen of Jordan. Everywhere else we walked in Jordan we were welcomed, but attempting to pass down the river valley by the springs we were accosted by 4 security guards. At first they said we were unable to carry on as the area was closed and no entry at all permitted, after some discussion this changed to we could carry on but would need a permit from the tourist police in Madaba, after some more discussion the story changed again to they would take us to talk to the tourist police on site. We agreed to this but after being kept waiting for some time we gave up and retraced our way back up the valley. No where else in the world have we been taken to talk to the police for walking along a recognised route and bear in mind we were walking as a family with 2 children, getting accosted and forced to go and talk to the police is intimidating. No where else in Jordan did we encounter an attitude like this, it seems that this business is simply interested in tourist money- avoid.
