We just had one night here after retreating from the idea of camping in very wet weather and really pleased we parked up by this place just by chance! The place is relatively small but is well run and maintained, and manages to retain a traditional and homely feel without being twee. We found the owners to be friendly and informative.

We had one of the rooms facing the street which gave good views out to the harbour and Loch Carron beyond.

The breakfast was excellent quality with the creamy porridge and scrambled egg with fresh salmon comes highly recommended. It was served up at a single large table in the dining room to the rear, so a good opportunity to chat to the owners and other guests.

Room Tip: The rooms to the street provide excellent views and traffic noise was not an issue. Although we didn...

Just spent a night here and had a wonderful time! We were only needing the room for 1night but would have loved to stay longer. The location is perfect and the hospitality is second to none. Room was immaculately clean and the breakfast was perfect - the biggest choice I have ever seen in a B&B. In response to the negative comment re. the room at the back, it was made very clear at the time of booking that it was a small room with no view but it was more than adequate with a beautiful ensuite shower room.Would have no hesitation in recommending this fantastic B&B and hope to return!

We have just spent 4 nights at An Caladh. This is a lovely B&B in a location that cannot be beaten. It is right on water's edge, beautiful views, short walk to the local eateries in Plockton.
We spent the first night in the back room with an ensuite shower. My boyfriend is not small - 6 ft 5 - and for us, this was a bit small, but that's just us.
We moved subsequent nights to a front room with a private bathroom, which was lovely and had fabulous views.
Breakfast includes delicious porridge, smoked haddock, or full English. The owners are a delight - very charming and helpful.

Highly recommended.

Room Tip: It's worth sacrificing the en suite for the front room - you don't have to share the bathroo...

Clean rooms, great location and a lovely breakfast. Everything I look for in a B&B. The choice of smoked haddock for breakfast was the icing on the cake and set me up nicely for a day of outdoor activities. There's also a nice restaurant 'Plockton Shores' and a cosy pub on the same street so you don't even need to venture far in the evenings. And there surely can't be many better views to wake up to than palm trees and a Scottish sea loch...

Room Tip: The rooms at the front have lovely views but you have the advantage of an en-suite at the back.

My son (11) and I stayed here for 1 night at the end of the summer holidays. We had a very nice room at the front, so looked out over the very beautiful Plockton Bay.It really is a wonderful little village and the b&b is very central. Our room was very nice with a brand new en suite bathroom. We also enjoyed a good breakfast in the morning before heading home.

I had one of the back rooms, barely big enough for much else than the double bed. No view, only a skylight. And it probably would have been OK with me if I hadn't paid 70 pounds. This experience reinforced my general feeling that if websites don't give specific rates for each room but instead say things like "From 35 pounds.", you're going to be unpleasantly surprised. On the other hand, the breakfast was good,I enjoyed chatting with others at breakfast, and the hosts were pleasant.

Room Tip: See if one of the front rooms is available or go elsewhere

My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay An Caladh. Friendly, welcoming host, great location - easy walk to shops and restaurants. Hearty breakfast, nice, spacious, clean and comfortable room. Plockton itself is in a great location and this B&B represented good value for money. Ann & Peter, Melbourne, Australia.
