“Look out for others!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 17, 2013

Very pleasant little road with lots of good views, etc. The only problem is other drivers many of whom seem to 'know' that nothing is coming around the next bend on the single track road. But worth the effort!

“Amazing scenic route”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 12, 2013

Amazing views, combined with interesting geology. Main hazard was deer on the road.... and sheep. This long and winding road must be taken at slow speed in order to fully appreciate the views. We feel sure that the route would be even more beautiful when the trees are fully in leaf and the heather is in flower.

“Breathtaking, winding, stunning route! But think of weather....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2013

What I can say about this route! It is breathtaking, winding, stunning view, single track, dangerous bend etc etc. If you love driving, you must take this route. Just drive and enjoy the scenic beauty. Look for the deer also, and turn on your headlights, so it will help other drivers behind the bend.
But you must choose the right time to avoid frustration and you will be frustrated by rain. So it is better to visit there in early May or in July/August. Try to avoid to visit in June as it rains more during this month.

“Magnificent road, do it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 28, 2012

Ok you have to avoid the sucicidal sheep, mad deer, ducks, etc but it is so worth it. Make sure you pop down to the Assynt light house as well as stop the car and walk to Eas Coul aulin waterfall.

Fantastic road, Drumbeg Stores are amazingly well stocked too.
