“Have stayed at several self-catering cottages in the Highlands and this one was the best of them!”
Reviewed August 29, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Four of us spent fantastic a week at the Torbreck Croft House for our annual fishing holiday. We've stayed at several cottages before and this one was by far the best. Very comfortable, plenty of space, generously equipped, nice mix of new and old, lovely location in stunning scenery.....you name it! Nicely out of the town for solitude but close enough for going out for meals or drinks (lots of options in Lochinver for it's size). Just a short drive from the beautiful Auchmelvich Beach too, where we dived, snorkelled and watched the seals and a whale (in the distance). Weather was too good for fishing (not complaining, honest!) but we had some nice trout off Loch Assynt. Climbed up the magnificent Quinnag too which was a day to remember. Hope to go back again soon....:-)

“A Very Special Place”
Reviewed July 6, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Our time at Torbreck Croft House could not have been better. The house is marvellously appointed and has everything you could possibly need for making the most of this incredible area. Set in such a magical setting we could not have had a better place to stay or be. We felt very very well looked after and felt lucky to be guests there. Our baby and toddler both loved it equally with so much for them to do even just in the front garden.

We also had two older guests who were also in heaven sitting out on the porch watching the deer in the garden and golden eagles soaring overhead. The house catered for all of us.

We love it here and hope to return soon. A very special place!

“Lovely cottage in a magnificient area”
Reviewed June 9, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Spend there a week in the magnificent region. Lovely cottage beautifully decorated. Everything you need was there. Even if the weather was not really helpful we spend a great moment hiking in the mountains and by the sea. Everyday we had visits of deer in the garden so the kids loved to observe them, The views from the hill above the cottage are really great so it is really worth going there if you feel that the sunset or sunrise will be good :)

“Home away from home”
Reviewed May 28, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We've been visiting the area around Lochinver since the late '80s and have stayed in many different properties ranging from hotels to tents, and most of the rental cottages between Lochinver and Stoer. This time was our first at Torbreck and we booked 3 weeks there in May for 3 generations of the family (5 adults and a baby). It rained nearly every day, so we spent more time than we'd have liked inside! But, the cottage was brilliant, it's furnished like a home rather than a holiday rental. Little things like sharp knives, an espresso maker, good cooking utensils are unusual in holiday homes but make a big difference. There are also some very good paintings in the place which add to the character.
We'd certainly stay here again.

“Fantastic!”
Reviewed November 4, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Awesome location on peaceful croft land. Deer outside each eve in the garden! A warm and welcoming cottage - spent most of our time in the kitchen with the log burner going. Very clean and excellent facilities in a super quiet setting.
