Everything was very good here - the food, the views and the service. I would recommend it to anyone coming to the area - and definitely have your evening meal in the restaurant. It is superb.

The only this I found to improve was that my Eggs Benedict needed runnier eggs.... Frankly that is just me being picky!

Returning to the Inver Lodge after four years, first impressions were excellent. It’s good to be met at the car after a long journey by someone offering to help with your luggage.

The bathroom seems to have had a re-fit and now looks extremely stylish and up-to-date.

Dinner was as delicious as would be expected from a Chez Roux establishment. Service was a joy too, with a succession of young men of Jeevesian demeanour clad in tartan trousers (plus a few young ladies in kilts) appearing unobtrusively at one’s table at appropriate times. Breakfast was similarly efficient and very enjoyable, and conducted in blessed silence.

Manager Mr Gorton is almost always around, and was very encouraging and helpful to my husband about the possibilities for fishing. He seems to be someone who really enjoys what he does for a living. Sadly the little dog I remembered from four years ago is no longer with us, so let’s hope another canine (or feline?!) companion will soon join the team.

This is a lovely hotel where attention to detail and thoughtfulness are paramount.

Note: I would quite like to see the vegetarian menu integrated with the main menu, so that I could have selected a vegetarian dish on one or more evenings without needing to request a separate menu.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write your review of your latest visit to Inver Lodge. I am delighted to read how much you both enjoyed it from start to finish and that we have maintained our standards in the four years since you were last here. Soon a new four legged friend will come to Inver Lodge called Beinn, I hope that you will be back to meet him before too long. I will pass on your menu suggestions to Chef Lee. Kind regards, Nicholas Gorton

I wonder if there is a hotel in Britain with better views than the Inver Lodge. Each room has this view and all of them are luxuriously equipped with everything one could want. The members of staff are welcoming and helpful whilst the food is utterly superb. Both the dinner and breakfast menus offer a wide choice with lots of fresh, local produce. During our two day stay we could not find fault with a single dish we ordered. This is fine dining but with enough on the plate to satisfy. Even the breakfast porridge, that simple dish that lets so many hotels down, was excellent. Thank you for a truly delightful stay.
Previous guests have left on tripadvisor several photos of the gorgeous views from the hotel - both of Loch Inver to the front and of the staggering view towards Canisp & Suilven to the rear. I therefore, leave a few nearby shots of the Assynt district. This must surely be one of the finest Britain can offer with grand vistas appearing at every turn yet intimate beauty in the rocks, moors, streams and shores.

This is an exceptionally well run hotel in many ways. Being a modern building it offers great well appointed rooms, and I was kindly given a superb room with wonderful double views. Good size, very comfortable, lots of hot water, well double glazed as in a rather exposed setting. The food is of course a major draw and it does not disappoint. Daily changing menu offers a challenging of tempting choices, using some great produce and in the main delivers spot on in taste and presentation. Efficient and friendly staff throughout the hotel Great wine list offering a good choice by the glass and half bottle. I concur with earlier comments that this also represents very good value. In closing also my thanks for arranging such amazing weather, I would definitely recommend and will return.

Wanted to return to this hotel after a lovely break here last September. Room 21 was spotless and very spacious . The food was excellent with a good choice on the menu and Chef provided individual meals to suit my wife's dietary problems. Mr Gorton and his team must be congratulated for providing a first class service , and a special mention for Linda and Gil. Nothing was too much bother and there was always someone at hand . We highly recommend any of the hotels managed by ICMI - will be back again this September

Took advantage of the Spring offer of three nights for the price of two. The hotel is perched above the beuatiful bay and harbour of Lochinver. The dining room looks out on to a scene that would be hard to beat anywhere. The food served up in Chez Roux was excellent. The pike starter was novel and tasty; the beef cheek just melted on your tongue and the skate fin was a joy. The service was superb with an attentive but not overbearing staff. The staff were all very pleasant and knew exactly what they were doing. The wine list was good-covering a range of choices. The bottled beer from northern brewers in the bar was welcome, though I always like to see cask beer on tap. Maybe next time! The bedrooms were perfect-super-comfortable beds and linen. Great view out to the bay. The cold buffet for breakfast suits us perfectly rather than the traditional cooked option. We would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone travelling in this spectacualr location.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review which is much appreciated. We do try to offer a good range of micro-brewery beers from around the north of Scotland, Orkney and Shetland which complements the whisky selection, I will look in to cask ales. I hope that we can welcome you back next time you plan a trip north. Kind regards, Nicholas Gorton

We have just spent two nights here, a wee break away to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary.

Although rather uninspiring from the outside, the hotel is lovely inside. A warm, welcoming reception from staff and a lovely comfortable room. We spent a relaxing afternoon reading by the fire with hot chocolate and scones on our second day, after a morning spent in the rain.

We had dinner at the hotel on our first night, and thoroughly enjoyed the food (especially the lemon tart!), and spectacular view from the restaurant. Breakfast was great too, with a wide variety of choice.

The surrounding scenery is spectacular, and staff very knowledgeable about the local area. Nothing was too much trouble, with great service, especially from the manager, Nicholas, and Adam.
