Cabin was beautiful and situated right on riverside. Had everything you needed for a relaxing break with great scenery. Loved the log burner that made the cabin feel very cosy at night. Will recommend to my friends and family
This log cabin is of a very high standard set in a stunning location. You are made to feel at home as soon as you walk through the door and the owner certainly has thought of everything to keep the cupboards stocked up. If you are looking for a peaceful relaxing holiday then this is the place for you. There is so much to see and do in the area you can't get bored. Just wish we had seen a bit more sun as when Scotland is shining there's no better place.
This is a 5* holiday home with a nice owner who does her best to give you a lovely holiday.
Thank you so much Karen for a lovely stay in beautiful Scotland. You had everything (and more) in the cabin to hand! A gorgeous cabin with stunning views, kind regards Debbie
Had a wonderful couple of days at the log cabin in strathyre. The cabin was a home from home. We took our two small dogs, went for some lovely walks so peaceful and tranquil just what we needed. Would strongly recommended the cabin it has beautiful surroundings, is only a five minute walk to the village. Karen yet again you have thought of everything, lots of information on walks and things to see and do.
Well maintained, beautiful cabin with a great view overlooking water - don't think I've ever enjoyed washing up so much but that view is amazing! We were even visited by a red squirrel and an owl! (It's a big deal when you're from London and the only wildlife you're used to is pigeons...). It was such a peaceful and restful stay!
Loved the log fire and the kitchen had everything you needed, there was a comfy bed and decent shower. Karen (the owner) was helpful and communicative both before and during our trip. She personally greeted us when we got there and provided some local info and tips. She sent us some links through as well so we had it all in writing and could refer back to it.
It's also well located for some great local walks and hikes with various skill levels. The local town, Callender, is also lovely and there's some nice villages nearby: Balquhidder (approx 2 miles away) and Killin (about a 15min drive) that have some good pubs and great views.
