We had a rally lovely stay and the Stewards House, the house has a great kitchen, perfect for family meal times. A very comfortable lounge for relaxing in in the evenings and perfect large comfy beds:) An extra bonus was the fast WIFI connection, certainly was not a necessity when booking a cottage but just seems really handy during winter holiday. The cottage was a great place to explore, Berwick, the Scottish coast, Castles and even a trip to Edinburgh.
Perfect week was had by all

Nice bright and comfortable house. Very spacious. Appreciated the lovely fresh bread and milk waiting for us on arrival.

Excellent accommodation, lovely owners.
Everything was spotless and in excellent condition.

We felt at home there immediately, what more could we ask for.
Excellent location to visit the numerous attractions (Paxton House, Floors Castle, Manderston, Monteviot House and excellent fish an chips in Eyemouth).

Owners were very helpful also.

“Lovely cottage and perfect location.”

We have been renting cottages in Northumberland for the last 10 years so we are pretty well clued up on the good the bad and the ugly.
This is a lovely cottage and newly refurbished so everything is shiny and new.
The 3 bedrooms are all good sizes and the bunk beds went down a treat with our 8 and 10 year olds whilst our 12 year old loved her 'big' room with double bed. It was a lovely room.
Our room with en suite was very comfortable with a huge walk in shower with plenty of elbow room and excellent water flow (not the dribble you sometimes get)
The kitchen is good family size with excellent facilities - washing machine, dishwasher etc. if I was being picky we could have used an extra couple of 'normal' saucepans, a couple of wooden spoons and a slotted spoon but other than that we had everything we needed.
The lounge was a good size and I would have loved to get the woodburner going. I imagine it would be lovely and cosy in the winter.
The downstairs wet room was great to throw the kids in after returning from the beach but make sure the shower is on Eco setting otherwise they come out looking like lobsters (lol).
Wi-Fi was quick and easy to connect to throughout the house.
The owners were both lovely and keen to make sure we were comfortable and the starter pack of tea/coffee/milk and freshly home baked loaf was a nice touch.
All in all a great holiday accommodation and we would have no hesitation in recommending.
