We recently spent the weekend at the English Inn Resort in Victoria and had a wonderful time.
It was a very relaxed atmonsphere and we found Melissa and her staff to be incredibly hospitable. They did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable.

We will definitely stay there again.

I found a groupon through living social for the quaint English Inn. Needing to get out of the city and the price was a steal, myself and my boyfriend booked an excursion on a whim hoping for the best.
Upon arrival of the Inn we were astonished off the psychographics around the Inn and how it seemed as if we were in the middle of the forest, yet we were in a suburban area.
Curtis (the general manager) showed us the different suites on the property and upgraded us into a beautiful apartment suite.Thank you!
Curtis was very helpful, hilarious and a great bartender as well
Highly recommend this property when visiting Victoria. The Inn is minutes outside of the busy city and a romantic exclusive escape.

Room Tip: rooms off from the main property are favoured and quieter

My wife and I stay here during a short get away to Victoria in October to celebrate our birthdays. What a lovely hotel-we thought we were in the middle of London. The rooms were extremely large - with a four poster bed and we even had a private and very large balcony. There is over 5 acres of grounds with manicured lawns and neat spots for pictures. They hold a lot of weddings at the hotel and it is just perfect for events. They had a very nice lounge with a guitarist playing on Thursday evening. The staff was extremely friendly and made sure our stay was a memorable one.
From the decor of the hotel to the beautiful grounds to the exceptional service - the English Inn is definitely worth a stop during your next trip to Victoria.

The inn is charming and quite beautiful in a old world way. The grounds are lush and beautiful and even had a buck eating right outside of window. We had reserved one of the townhouses and when we arrived we saw that all the bedrooms were upstairs and my mother couldn't climb the stairs because of her knee. The staff was very accommodating and put her into a ground floor unit. It was an easy drive to the downtown area. I would recommend this inn if you are looking for a romantic getaway.

We were a party of four adults and we all really enjoyed our recent stay at the English Inn. We were given adjoining very large rooms with a private balcony, without asking which was a nice touch. After checking in though somehow our keys got mixed up and we found that our key opened both rooms. When we told reception they said that we had been given the wrong key and they changed it for us, it must have been a staff key we were given in error.
This hotel is very "old world" but it has all the modern needs of today. The rooms we stayed in were very spacious and they had a refrigerator, chaise long, coffee table, hairdryer, Iron & ironing board and the bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was quite small however and an unusual shape. Our friends bathroom was even smaller and the male party had to nearly bend double to get in and out of the shower under the eves. The doors onto the balcony were only held closed by a latch and hook so if you did not know the people in the next room that could be a concern.

The dining room was closed while we were there (it only opens for private functions we were told) so we had to go out for dinner. The complimentary breakfast of croissant, yogurt, fruit, tea & coffee was very welcome.
As the hotel is in a residential area and is quite a distance from downtown, having a car would be an advantage. Whereby the lobby and lounge areas were all beautiful the hotel did have an unkempt feel in other areas especially in the surrounding gardens and walkways.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and found the hotel very warm and comfortable and would go back. There was wi fi availabe free of charge but we found the service very patchy in places so was not much use to us.
