This has easy front street parking and is within easy walking distance to all sights. The B&B owners are friendly and helpful and run a very clean and modern place. They even made sure we had ice that evening when we returned after dinner. It was a nice change to have their excelllent french toast for breakfast. Be sure to find time to visit MAry Queen of Scots Museum.

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking the yard and it was lovely.

We arrived late after a minor accident on the trail. Brian made us right at home and wrapped my injured arm in plastic wrap so that could shower. His dinner recommendation was spot on. We were very comfortable and greatly enjoyed our visit.

My friend and I were walking the St Cuthbert's Way and stayed for one night. Everything about our visit was good, lovely room, excellent breakfast. Allan even did a running repair on my map holder which saw it through to the end of the week. Would definitely visit again in in the future.

We stayed in September 2011 for a family wedding in the area. Joyce and Allan allowed us to check in early and were very helpful. They organised for us to have breakfast after the alloted time, and while having breakfast they checked we had enough of everything. Breakfast was lovely, I recommend the Scottish Breakfast.

Loved the one night that we stayed there, comfortable, warm and clean- we'll be back!!
Recommend this to B & B to everyone.

A lovely friendly welcome especially to the two lads we were meeting up with walking John O Groats to Landsend. Lovely comfortable rooms in a house steeped in history - ask about the apple room and Bonnie Prince Charles' ponies!
Great breakfast and easy access to walks.
We'd love to come back

Stayed here for one night while walking St Cuthbert's Way (a taxi to or from Harestanes Visitor Centre will set you back about £8 by the way) and was very pleased indeed. A warm welcome, a bright and very nicely decorated house, a place to put our muddy boots, a well kitted-out en-suite bathroom, a comfy bed and a broader choice than usual for breakfast. Our room looked out onto the street that leads up to the castle but we had no problems with noise. If I was staying longer a slightly more spacious bedroom would be desirable, but otherwise I'd have nothing to complain about. Recommended.

We stayed here for one night in June whilst walking the St Cuthberts Way

This would be the most "spick" B&B you would find anywhere

It was also very well run, had warm & friendly atmosphere and reasonably priced - given the high standard of accommodation offered

A comfortable and generously sized twin room was made available for us

Breakfast was excellent - scrambled eggs and salmon recommended

For dinner - we walked about 50 meters down the road to a hotel recommended by our hosts - this was also very good and reasonably priced

This was an excellent place to stay for us
