Returned to Caddy Man for Sunday lunch hoping that it would live up to the standard of our previous visit. We were not disappointed. Our family, visiting from the Hampshire, were absolutely thrilled with their meal and could not praise highly enough the food, the presentation and friendliness of the staff. The menu is so varied and so tempting that one visit is not enough.
We are returning next month on our silver wedding anniversary and are already salivating at the thought.

Fantastic stuff! Superb, wonderfully cooked, locally sourced food, with one or two surprises on the menu. Will return soon for Sunday lunch,.must try the squirrel! Well done folks. Just how a restaurant should be run.

We have been to the reataurant before so knew that we would not be disappointed for our family meal for our daughter's 18th. The choice of food was as normal a little more unusual with squirrel and horse on the menu. I of course had to try the horse as a starter and was glad that I did as it was very tasty. There is always something new and interesting to try on the menu. Althought we were part of a large party the food was served quickly and was all piping hot. The chef obviously takes pride in the presentation of his food as it always looks appetising. It is good value for the type of food that is served and we will definitley be back again.

I chose the Caddy Mann as a 60th Birthday treat for my husband. We were not disappointed, we had the most fantastic meal. In fact there are not enough superlatives to describe the overall experience. The staff were helpful, friendly but not intrusive. The food was outstanding, we of course took the opportunity to try the more unusual items on the menu - Cheval, Hare Loin, Hare Haggis, Crispy Ox tongue - all were fantastic, the presentation was beautiful. And the sticky toffee pudding deserves a special mention anyone can make it, I have made it, but I defy anyone to produce a better, lighter, stickier pudding than the one served here. My son chose the Bannoffee Basket for us to share and despite the generous portion I was allowed one spoonful ! And he has requested a return visit for his 16th Birthday later this year, I will certainly welcome a reason to return. I have rated Famiies with children as 3 as I would suggest it as suitable for older children for an evening meal.

One of the main reasons to visit here, apart from the delicious food, is the fact there is always something on for those of us with more adventurous tastes. On previous visits we've sampled squirrel and hare and tonight was no exception with "cheval" on offer. We thought the witty touch of "no beef DNA " in the description was quite funny. As it was horse turned out to be rather delicious, as were the other dishes we chose, oxtail, lamb and venison. Great little place which was very busy tonight but the wait was short and the dishes piping hot and very tasty. And to get such a fantastic 3 course meal for two with drinks for under £80, a bargain we thought. Highly recommended, just make sure you book up as it's very popular.
