This is an must to get a nice lazy break. Well catered for disabled access and living. Paul the owner will go out of his way to cater for your every need. Also very biker friendly with secure parking. Any one going to the races at either Kirkistown or Bishop's court this is the place to come to for a nice relax before moving on

Great set-up for me to move around in my electric wheelchair. Wide doors and lots of space to turn in rooms. There was an overhead hoist to get me on and off a profile bed, which was very comfortable. The wetroom was also a large size to make showering and toileting easier. Paul, the owner, is on site to give you a great welcome and sort out any concerns you may have. He was great and will suggest lots of things to make your stay enjoyable. His "wee" Ulster fry was wonderful! He has good local contacts e.g. the local pub, The Saltwater Brig, also gave us a very helpful welcome as well as good food. We loved the views from our windows, the relaxing feel of the Lodge and the Karaoke! We will definitely come back!!

Just back from another weekend volunteering with Enable NI.We had a really enjoyable stay in Strangford Bay Lodge. There were 12 of us in total . The views never cease to amaze no matter what the time of year. Paul continues to go from strenght to strenght and each time we come for a visit he has added another little gem to his myiad of things to do. It is a perfect place for our service users to come. Indeed it is the most hotly sought after of all the venues we use. The participants who come down to stay for a few days are always asking when they can come back again. It is truely a wonderful place where everything has been taken into consideration to provide a perfest venue for people with a disability as well as their families. I look forward to the next time Paul. I got to take my breakfast egg still warm , from the chicken coop. (bucket list)

We stayed at Strangford bay lodge over the new year. We were in a group of 2 families including our disabled son. Facilities were excellent for everyone. Everyone was kept well amused with the karaoke and nintendi wii. Breakfast was excellent (Served when it suited everyon and we found the whole stay very relaxing. Most importantly Paul (owner) could not have looked after us any better, including running all of down to Portaferry for a drink and back. We will definitely be back.

We were lucky to secure a last minute booking to Strangford Bay Lodge last weekend. What can I say, this place is beautiful, we had booked an apartment and the view was breathtaking, from every window we had excellent views of Strangford Lough. We travelled as a group of 4 (two couples) and enjoyed relaxing with a few drinks and watching the sunset over the lough. All rooms were huge and tastefully decorated. The beds are so comfortable and the shower/bathroom facilities were excellent, proper walk in shower / wetroom. The breakfast was fantastic - a huge fry with tea, coffee, juices etc (again the views from the breakfast room were breathtaking). Paul the owner cannot do enough and was on hand with bread when two local swans came to visit, amazing! Will definitely return to this little gem of a place soon. Perfect stay !

Room Tip: All rooms are fantastic and have wonderful views of Strangford Lough

My husband and I stayed here with friends. We had no idea what to expect as this was booked for us as a surprise gift. This place is fabulous. Paul, the owner made us very welcome and gave us a tour of the property. Every detail has been considered to make a stay here very special. The view is incredible and evokes peacefulness as soon as you see it. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend this place for a break away. It is a very special place and Paul is an inspirational man.
