“Best place to eat in Glenridding”
Reviewed November 4, 2013

We had both afternoon tea and dinner here on the same day, then went back again for dinner the following day. Scones fresh out of the oven for tea were amazing - and huge!
Dinner was freshly cooked and excellent value, especially the children's meals which I think were £6.95 - mine had the children's roast of the day and it was delicious, with lots of lovely fresh vegetables, huge Yorkshires and plenty to even keep a growing 10 year old girl happy. Staff were really friendly, and the whole place had a lovely atmosphere. To top it off, the puddings were divine. This is definitely the best place to eat in Glenridding. Only downer is I think they close in the winter months.

“Pleasant resting place”
Reviewed September 17, 2013

We stopped for a rest and a cuppa after a fairly challenging walk. I had lentil soup and a lemon and ginger tea - the soup was very tasty and I am always pleased when someone serves my favourite tea. My companion had a cream tea which he enjoyed. Pleasant surroundings and welcoming staff.

“a nice evening meal”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

This resteraunt is small but very well decorated in a rustic charm with stone walls (very big) The meal itself was well presented and well cooked , we passed on our complments to the chef, and was reasonably priced .Some meals ie the roast were very hearty. all in all this a good place to dine

“Go here”
Reviewed September 5, 2013

I loved the decor inside, so much so I bought a Tubular Fells poster after seeing it hanging up next to our table.

Service was excellent, booze a reasonable price and food gorgeous with generous portions.

The restaurant currently has scaffolding erected outside, don't let this put you off, visit and you won't be disappointed.
