For a a one night stop on the way from the airport the hotel was fine, but not spectacular.

Staff were very helpful and the included breakfast was very good.

Rooms are quite old fashioned and are nowhere near as classy as the photos make out. Noise insulation between rooms is not great and you can hear the TV from the room next door.

WiFi was adequate for emails, but nothing more,

Single traveler but with a group. On arrival, the rooms were allocated as per ability to walk as there is NO LIFT.Both the bathroom & bedroom were very clean, the bedroom contained to 4 ft wide large single beds very comfortable in an old-time settingGood bar with good service, Excellent breakfast that was made to order if required. All this was in a rebuilt house from 1295-1335. and only 50 meters. from the old town.

Room Tip: front of the hotel gets the morning light

My wife booked for us a room in this hotel which is a very nice palace since18-th century.I have had a great surprise seeing the place. The room is decorated with antique furniture, very clean, spacious and decent.Smells like heaven all over the place. The lobby looks like an antique store, paintings hanging on the walls and the atmosphere is quiet and discreet. The restaurant is nice and clean, food is various and tasty.I have eaten very good seafood which is famous here on the Atlantic coast. After all,I was happy here and I will recommend this place anytime. This is a 3 stars hotel but is greater than that.

Nice old historic hotel with modern facilities. We had the best meal of the trip in the restaurant here. The Day's Menu was excellent vaue, with wonderful food, large portions and top-ups of lovely white Rioja wine (for me).
In a nice setting in this lovley old small town.

I love this place! Very historic. You can pick up a brochure about it at the lobby that tells its history. The setting and decor is also atmospheric. Could have been better if it has lift. A bit tedious carrying luggage up the stairs.
