Loved the setting, the comfort, the hospitality. Hotel style comfort at a bargain price. The price does not include breakfast which is another 4 euros. I have read reviews saying the breakfast is limited but it does include a range of breads, cheese, cakes, jams, pates and two cereals. Toast and drinks are made freshly for you. Breakfast can be taken, very leisurely until after 11am. There is a £1 honesty fridge in the dining room which holds beers, juices, water. There is a lovely garden with seating to enjoy. A bright lounge area overlooks the garden. It is close to the Altamira cave and a twenty minute walk into beautiful Santillana del Mar with many bars, restaurants, shops and medieval buildings. We only stayed two nights but I wish we had stayed longer. Would definitely recommend this to friends.

Room Tip: They're all good

Located in a quiet area within easy walking distance of the town. Clean and comfortable with excellent bathroom. We would have preferred a duvet rather than sheets but that is personal preference. Very pleasant hostess and on site parking. Well sign posted from the town and the road. A good selection of restaurants and bars in the town. Most eateries stayed open until around midnight for meals.

This clean, friendly house is a fifteen minute walk from either Santillana or Altamira, so if you're the walking type, it's a great location for visiting the area. Lydia is a welcoming host, but to be sure, this is her house and she lives here with her family, which means there are kids and grandparents around, with all of the joys and noises that accompany them.

Our room was spotless; the breakfast generous.

We'd stay here again.

This is a family run hotel. The owner doesn't speak English so lots of miming had to take place. It's off the beaten track but well worth finding. Our room was spotlessly clean, very Spanish. Breakfast had a limited choice. Private parking. Santillana del Mar is about 1km away but worth visiting this beautiful town.

My husband and I stayed at this Inn (which is more like a Rural House) for three nights while we visited Santillana del Mar and its surrounding. It was so nice returning here in the evening after a day of driving and sightseeing. We had a wonderful and amazing experience with Lidia and her family. She was kind, pleasant, great pastry maker and a wonderful hostess. Breakfast was very inexpensive and highly recommended. Our room was on the top floor, the attic. It was just gorgeous, very large with plenty of room to move about, a nice round table and plenty of closet space. The small window, offered a beautiful view of the mountains and cows grazing during the day. The bathroom was large and well equipped. Everything was spotless! The bathtub tiles were shining white. The house itself is beautiful, where we were able to sit down late at night and watch TV or talk to Lidia about our day. There is plenty of ample parking and the grounds were well maintained as well. The house is located within a 10/15 minute walk from the center of town. Lidia showed us a shortcut through back roads. The WIFI works the best in the common areas since the house is made of stone and sometimes the signal didn't make it all the way upstairs. But, it was no issue at all. We were truly lucky to have spent 3 wonderful nights here. Gracias Lidia desde Nueva York.
