“Good have been better”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2014 via mobile

Lovely town, but we had the menu of the day here and were disappointed. It was definitely cheap but maybe you get what you pay for. My partner had a very thin steak and chips and I had the cod and tomatoes, - which comes with nothing else. What tasted like a defrosted cod and tin of tomatoes. Very disappointed, especially given the good reviews on trip advisor. Perhaps we were just unlucky. We did get free wine top ups as part of our menu of the day price. Salad starter was also good.

“Simple but delicious”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2013

We dined here for dinner as part of a group tour so we were upstairs and given a set menu. The fabada was the best we had on the entire trip to Northern Spain. We also had the stuffed peppers but had liked them better in Pamplona. The service was adequate and setting lovely. Agree with all the other reviewers -- simple food but prepared very well.

“Great Value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2013

Have eaten here on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed. The " Menu del Dia" ( from 1.00 pm onwards ) at 12.5 euros is excellent value - 3 courses inc. drink.

“Authentic regional food.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 1, 2013

We were there for the Menu del dia. Served between 2-4PM. The dorado was freshly grilled and so sweet it must have been caught that morning served with an assortment of fresh vegetables. We were served bread, a carafe (not just a glass) of red wine, a hearty bean soup and rice pudding like my grandmother used to make. All for 14 euro. Can't beat quality for the price. Sat out on back terrace and enjoyed a break from sightseeing.

“Lovely dinner in a picturesque village”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 1, 2013

The restaurant's Menu del Dia provided a delightful and ample meal for a modest price. The staff is friendly and attentive. The house wine that accompanied the meal was a generous bottle, instead of a single glass, of a tasty red. The flan was especially well done.
