We had lunch at the restaurant, which was absolutely delicious. Great outdoor setting and delicious, local food. The host gave us a traditional homemade cheese desert, which was absolutely delicious!!

This hotel is set just off the main approach into town and has ample parking. Our room was on the front and I expected it to be a bit noisy overnight but it was quiet, even with windows open. The room was huge, squeaky clean, very quaint and decorated - not surprisingly - in a colonial style. We had a quick breakfast next door in the cafe which was good. Family run and friendly and within easy reach of the very pretty little touristy town of Santillana. Good place for a stop on your journey.

Our first night off the ferry was spent here. The hotel is conveniently placed to visit the old town of Santillana del Mar. The renovated building is comfortable and the welcome from the family is warm and friendly. The food was excellent and obviously home-cooked.The hotel was used by many travellers, some of them on the Pilgrim's Way to Santiago de Compostela which added a flavour of Spain specific to that area. All in all this was an excellent first stop and I recommend it to anyone who wishes to stay in that area. The Altamera caves are nearby and should not be missed nor should the Colegiata, a Romanesque Church and former Benedictine Monastery.

A very friendly welcome at this family run hotel. Clean and comfortable rooms and excellent food in the bar restaurant. Great location with dramatic mountains and fantastic coast nearby. Altamira caves on the doorstep. Excellent value. Highly recommended.

Thee hotel is just off the main road in Santillana it looked gorgeous with all the flowers growing down over the front entrance. Inside it appeared very stylish and welcoming. Breakfast was gorgeous and great value. The loos were large and very clean. Would recommend to other travelers.
