The Soap Factory is a delightful unique place to stay in Soller. The Soap Factory has been converted into four comfortable stylish appartments. Situated in a quiet part of Soller with mountains at the rear and orange groves at the front. The owners Pheobe and Christian are very welcoming and helpful .It's really nice to be able to walk from the appartments to various walks. There's information about
walks in the appartments which is great.
This appartment is a short walk from the centre of Soller. Phoebe (the owner) will give you as much advice as you need to make your holiday as amazing as ours. Don't miss the opportunity to stay in this well appointed modernist appartment with a view of Soller and the mountains.
Absolutely the most beautiful place ever visited. Soap Factory best apartment ever stayed in..Phoebe very accommodating helpful.and friendly.
Soap Factory just perfectly renovated in keeping with the surroundings. Great location 10 mins walk into centre.handy for shops..View from the roof terrace amazing
Can't recommend this place enough..also it was my husband and I first visit to Soller definitely will be returning.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Soller Soap Factory, we loved the architectural theme to the design and it was very spacious.
The highlight is the roof terrace, the views of the mountains and the colours at sunset are simply stunning.
The property is very centrally located near to local amenities, the advice from Phoebe on local produce was first class.
We stayed in the top apartment with a beautiful view of the mountains and valley, the apartment is spacious rather big and has all the mod cons we are used to back home, one problem for us though was it has no air conditioning at all! Just a couple of portable fans which in the July heat did nothing at all, the rooftop terrace is well equipped and just fantastic and was a pleasure to sit and chill throughout the day up there....the staircase to it is a little precarious to say the least but not much of an issue, like others have indicated Sóller town is a short and pleasant distance away and really takes no time at all, Sóller Center is busy and there are plenty of places to grab lunch or tea, on an afternoon there's a little place called Can Gata which has a lovely garden that is away from the hustle and bustle of the main square and there is a good few bars and restaurants in and around the square, some good some not so good, there is a great shop not too far away called Eroski City which has everything you could possibly need, it's not that far and is only a few minutes walk.
Port de Sóller is a short bus ride away and only a few euros each way or 8-10 euros by taxi one way, you can also get the train in the town but we had a car and decided to not use the train, the Port is really pretty and the sun sets are fantastic, we had meals in a couple of places Brisa Del Mar which served traditional Spain food and Red Forte which was an Indian both of which were pretty good and better than the food we ate in Sóller town but I'm certain we could have picked better places in the town itself, we visited a few places Deià , Valldemossa, Ca's Patro March (where they filmed the BBC drama series The Night Manager) word of warning if you want to eat at any of the two restaurants here, we were told there was a 3 hour wait time, so either book a table or get there early, Valldemossa and Deià are both nice but there is a lot more to see in Valldemossa, check out what day the markets are on as they are pretty good, we also had a day at Palma which is really nice and again it's only a short car journey and well worth the visit if you have a car, we also took a trip to Fornalutx which is a short but hair raising journey to get to round the mountain roads, if I'm honest there isn't that much to see or do so I wouldn't recommend going here, my overall opinion of the Soap Factory and Sóller was a positive one, the owner Phoebe was really helpful on our stay, Sóller itself is a welcome retreat away from the rat race back home, would I recommend the Factory as a place to visit? The answer is yes although be warned while Europe cooked in this years heatwave so did we, the owners must do something about the Factory having air conditioning for us to give it 5*.
This apartment exceeded our expectations, it was spacious, contemporary, clean and the views from the rooftop terrace were stunning - photos can't do it justice! Communication with the owner, Phoebe, was good with fast responses. Directions from the bus and train were great. She also gave us some really useful information about the local area that we wouldn't have known otherwise, eg good walks to do from the apartment, quiet bays to reach by boat, good restaurants, etc.
Soller is a beautiful village, with lots going on for its size, nestled in the Serra de Tramantana mountain range and this apartment is the perfect base to explore. We were very impressed with the quality and number of the walking routes from Soller, all well sign-posted - lots of options high and low level.
We mainly walked this holiday, but Phoebe and Christian have a lot of information for cycling too, so this may be our plan for our next holiday here as the roads are well set up for road biking and off road trails also have a lot to offer for mountain biking.
The Soap factory is on the edge of Soller town. from the roof terrace you have fantastic views of the mountains and across the town. The accommodation is a converted industrial building and very comfortable.
The soap factory is a great base for walking, cycling or visiting the town and Phoebe is a great host!
