We have just returned from 5 days in this fantastic family run hotel. Five star with a personal touch. The staff were outstanding and very helpful and within a few hours seemed to know our every wish but were in no way intrusive. The food was gorgeous and the cocktails perfectly blended. The hotel was fairly empty as one would expect in mid winter but we were looked after all the time with no hint of staff being there for just a few guests. On valentine night the family came to the restaurant making us feel even more at home. We have been married for 45 years so it was a special evening. The trip to Mallorca was a trip down memory lane as I first came here in 1962 when my parents were living in Barcelona. The island has changed and in many cases not for the best but I chose the Gran Hotel Soller as it seemed the closest to what I remembered from luxury hotels on the island and it did not disappoint! Our room was a standard room but beautifully equipped and we could have had breakfast in the room but decided to go to the restaurant where just about anything will be specially cooked for you and all delicious or one can chose from a selection of fruit cheeses and hams. The coffee was the best I have ever tasted. We ate supper on two nights and each dish was perfectly cooked and presented and very tasty. If I lived in Soller i would be tempted to eat there quite a lot! We had a look at the terrace and pool which looked fabulous too.

We have lived all over the world and spent many nights in hotels but this one goes straight to the top of the list of 5 star hotels!

I stayed at this beautiful hotel with my husband and two teenage daughters and had a fantastic few days. Our rooms were perfect, light and spacious, enormous comfortable beds, modern but with a Majorcan feel . We had never stayed in the centre of a town on our summer holiday so we really enjoyed being able to walk around and enjoy the local life. We couldn't get up early enough to enjoy our fantastic breakfast on the roof terrace welcomed cheerily every morning by Barbara and her team. I cannot recommend this hotel enough for any time of the year.

It is 5-stars hotel, very luxury, prices are good, double room costs about 300-350 euros and more, depends of room standard. Rooms are spacious, good equipped. In hotel is excellent restaurant, you should try it.

I arrived at 1.30pm very weary after setting off from home at 3am and was very pleased to find my room ready well before the check in time. The room was very well presented and comfortable. Breakfasts were included even though I had bought a package online which did not include them. Real coffee, fresh orange juice and smoked salmon and choice of cooked eggs were better than the usual hotel breakfasts.
A very good experience.

This hotel was used for a recent business meeting. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, responding to requests with a smile and a willingness to help out. The restaurant staff were also extremely welcoming and accommodating. The hotel's location close to the main square is a big plus, as is the proximity of what appeared to be good restaurants. Having been there for a business trip, I'd be sorely tempted to come back for a holiday and enjoy the roof top pool.

Positives :
Well situated, good service, clean and comfortable throughout, friendly and obliging staff, very good breakfast and restaurant food, spectacular views from rooftop pool and breakfast areas.
Negatives :
Inadequate number of waiting staff or more efficient working practices required. for example - at breakfast, individually prepared cups of coffee were provided causing staff to be distracted from providing a smooth and efficient hot food delivery and table clearing service. Ditto orange juice. Suggestion - provide jugs of orange and pots of coffee. All front facing staff should be well dressed at all times. Gardens need more attention / watering / clearing of cigarette ends etc. 2 weddings placed the rooftop breakfast area our of use for 4 days. A professional 'team' should not need 24+hrs to clear up after a wedding. Hopefully the hotel have realised that they should not mix weddings and private guests.
With a bit of attention to detail, the hotel will live up to its name.
Would I recommend it to friends? Yes,
