Good majorcan food and excellent veggie burgers, nice and genuine service, good selection of beers (love Turia), cocktails and wines and one of the best atmosphere in town with a good mix of locals and tourists.

Having experienced the Palma to Soller train ride we had a plod around Soller (avoided the crowds getting the tram to the port) and looking at reviews on trip advisor we went to Bar Molino for lunch. It's a 5-10 minute walk from main square but was nice and quiet and away from the crowds. We ordered the mixed croquettes (spinach, ham, cheese and fish), the chorizo in red wine and the mussels. They were absolutely delicious and plenty to eat for a lunch stop. We ordered 2 large beers and glasses of Rioja and the total bill was just under 34 euros. This place is away from the main square but it's worth it, a gem of a place.

Despite having made a reservation we were challenged quite bluntly by an older lady who then split our table to make way for a Spanish couple who had just arrived. We were seated right in the back on a very hot evening between the toilets, the fire hydrant and a tv for the local clientele. We asked to sit outside in the courtyard but were pretty much ignored until almost done with our mains by which point it was too late. In terms of the food, lamb, mussels and Iberican pork all out of stock so the choices were very limited - i.e. salad, burgers or pasta. Highlights were wine list and pleasant waiter who tried to help us otherwise this evening left a decidedly unpleasant feeling and we won't be returning which in all honestly is probably what the owners would prefer in any case - i.e. not tourist friendly.

Very enthusiastic staff and particularly helpful and knowledgeable on the local wines. All the food was excellent but the humble tomato salad was amazing. This is not haute cuisine but what they do they get right. Not expensive and very highly recommended. Beautiful setting as well.
