This little place is fully deserving of its rise up the Soller rankings. Had a wonder Arroz con Calamares at lunch. The chef is a great guy who loves and cares for his food. The staff are equally caring. Es Faro in the port could and should go there for lessons. A real treat at a good price.

We visited with our two children aged 9 and 11. We sat outside on bar stools and enjoyed the atmosphere and delicious food. Avoid the anchovies - we were rather suprised they were from a tin but all the other dishes were a special treat.

Delicious tapas, friendly welcome & good advice about wine. Can't fault this place. Have the rabbit with garlic - you'll want more. Oh, and the chilli mussels. And the chorizo in cider... It would be be my local if it was in London. Wish it was!!

We went to Casa Alvaro twice during a weeks stay in Soller.
We have 2 children aged 13 and 10 and between us we ordered 12 dishes.
It wasn't enough as the children wolfed down almost everything before we had a chance.
Their 2 favourite dishes were chorizo in cider and the marinated anchovies.
We liked it so much, we went back a couple of days later.
The children insisted in ordering their 2 favourite dishes among a host of others.
Unfortunately, the chorizo was completely different and was more like boiled sausage in hot apple juice and the anchovies were now in oil and had obviously come out of a tin, just like you could buy in Tesco or Sainsbury's. However, the other dishes were superb and the service very friendly.
