If you enjoy amazing food, excellent wines, impeccable service and beautiful surroundings you must make sure you get to dine at the Salvia Restaurant, or better still stay at this wonderful hotel tucked away in the cobbled streets of Soller.

The attention to detail and the wonderful surroundings take your breath away before you even start to enjoy the dining experience which was amazing, we had an absolutely fantastic meal, local produce cooked to perfection by a very talented chef.

Had a fantastic meal here on a recent stay in Soller. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Food was perfectly cooked and presented. Service was both discreet and attentive. The chef clearly knows what he is doing. Best food I have eaten in the Soller area and am looking forward to return visit in May.

The restaurant is located in the Garden of the stunning Hotel Salvia in the beautiful village of Sóller. We stayed in the hotel in 2010 and wanted to return, unfortunately they were fully booked for our days but the manager recommended we come and have dinner in the restaurant. We thought if the restaurant was up to the standard of the hotel on our previous visit we would be happy. Our expectations were met and exceeded by far. We were greeted with a smile by Patrick who welcomed us warmly and brought us to our table. The setting is sublime, seated on the terrace overlooking the expertly manicured gardens with views of the surrounding mountains, the area is large enough to feel spacious but retains an intimate feel nestled among the shrubs and trees. We were guided through the menu which is based on seasonal availability and changes regularly (a welcome change to the standard fair being offered in most island eateries). Everything sounded delicious and looked so as we peeked at the other diners tables. We were delighted to hear that the fish is sourced from a supplier in Port de Soller which is landed daily from the fishing boats! You couldn't get any fresher unless you got up at 5am and hooked it yourself. Choices made: Napoleon of Eggplant & Sobrassada with Mallorcan Meatballs in Tomato Sauce, delicious, the Charcuterie Board, selection of very tasty meats included a 3 Pepper Pate & Pickles, I had the catch of the day, an amazing Dorada, which was cooked to perfection and my partner had the Pan Seared Cod, it came with some crunchy garlic infused potatoes and salad. We asked for a bit of guidance on the wine as we wanted to try something Spanish. Under advisement we went with the Godeval which is a Godello grape and very fruity with a nice long finish. Included with the amazing setting, delicious food and very tasty wines came a service which was friendly and efficient. This evening is not to be missed if you find yourself in Soller or even better plan a trip. Do however BE SURE to reserve as I know they do not take walk-ins at the Hotel and only cook on certain nights. We had phoned to book for one night but it was already fully booked (we phoned on Tuesday) we were happy to be able to be accommodated on Saturday. We will be back, hopefully to eat and stay next time."
