We had a fantastic one week stay at C'an Pons in September. We drove from the airport in around 30mins. The place was easy to find - only about 200 yards up the hillside from the main road, but when you get there, you are met with the most incredible views of the Soller valley and the surrounding mountains. This must be one of the best views in Mallorca!
The house had everything we could have needed and was cool and spacious. The grounds are beautiful. When at the house, we spent most of our time either on the terrace or at the pool. Both had amazing views. In the gardens there are lemon/orange and walnut trees, and there are plenty of quiet places to sit down with a book and a drink and while away the hours! We ate breakfasts on the terrace, and enjoyed the morning sun rising up over the mountain ridge. In the evenings, a lovely red glow comes over the mountains opposite - perfect when having a drink before dinner!
If you like walking, bring some trainers or walking shoes! From the house you can walk to the surrounding towns and villages. We walked to Port de Soller, Fornalutx, Biniaraitx and Deia. We also visited Valldemossa by car which was a lovely drive and worth the visit. We drove to Port de Soller a couple of times to spend the day on the beach. It only takes around 10 mins to drive.
The centre of Soller is only a 10 minute walk from the house. There are lots of restaurants and places to go for a drink. We preferred to stay in a few of the nights, and bought things to make dinner from Suma supermarket which is on Carrer d'Isabel (between C'an Pons and town square).
All in all a great trip and we would highly recommend C'an Pons for those wanting to be close to Soller town, but with tranquility, stunning views, and walks on your doorstep.
We stayed for one week in November. The villa was a traditional Mallorcan finca and was spacious, well presented and very comfortable, with a beautiful private pool.
There were several outside seating areas to enjoy, and we had our daily breakfast on the largest of them, looking at the amazing views of the mountains in the morning sun.
There are plenty of scenic walks to enjoy, directly from the house itself. We did several, the most beautiful being through the hillsides to Port Soller, where we enjoyed a meal at a restaurant overlooking the sea.
Soller itself is a ten minute walk away, and we enjoyed several trips there, including market day, morning coffees in the town square, and dinner in one of the many restaurants.
Soller also has a bus service from which you can explore the whole island. We did two trips to Palma. It only takes about half an hour to get there and the bus takes you right to the centre of the town, great for sightseeing and shopping! We can recommend a trip to the Cathedral, which was stunning.
We had a really great holiday here that included rest, relaxation, swimming, walking, sightseeing, good food, and fun. It was a perfect stay and we can't wait to return.
