On our recent trip to Soller or friends introduced us to Campo Sol restaurant in the port. It lies on the En Repic side of the port in the road that runs behind the promenade and leads to the lighthouse. It has its own parking opposite the restaurant, a large patio with sun and shade plus a large indoor restaurant section. The menu is well structured with a good range of dishes including fish, meats and pasta. We enjoyed a ham and melon starter shared between the two of us and it was a good job we did as it was huge. My wife followed this with cod and I had chicken fillets in a curry sauce, delicious - make sure you keep some bread to mop up with! Wine prices are very reasonable with a Cune Rioja half bottle coming in at €7.00 and full at €13.00. Sweets are various local dishes such as almond cake with ice cream or the more commercial frozen ice creams. Service was excellent and about the right pace and the two waitresses we met spoke good english and were very pleasent. Credit cards are accepted and prices are on the lower side of average for the area. Our 3 visits in April 2013 were a lunch time when the restaurant was quiet but our two evening visits, about 7 pm, were at a busier time and it was necessaryt to book, this will become undoubtedly more important as we move towards high season. A short walk down the road will bring you on to the promenade for a walk following your hearty meal, all in all we thoroughly recommand this restaurant and can't wait for our next visit in August.
