We are North-lights. We usually spend our hollidays in Scandinavia. Austria was an alternative from time to time, but we had never been in Slovenia before the summer 2013. We were very surprised how beautiful this country is and how friendly the citizens are. Apartment Tonkli is a gem. It's a wonderful restored house with three apartments, each on a separate floor. We stayed in the most upper one for two weeks. Logje is a small mountain village close to the Italian border. There is no Supermarket or other store around, but several times a week, usually in the early afternoons, a mobile shop is coming to the village and sells all the stuff you need to survive ;-). Bread, milk, juice, marmalade, meat, fish, frozen food and ice cream. If you miss the mobile shops you can also go to the next "bigger" supermarket in Kobarid (30 minutes by car).
We enjoyed every day. Once a day we went down to the beautiful and warm river Nadiza. Hiking was also a favorite and for dinner we visited several restaurants (our recommendations: Pizza bar in Podbela, Pizza restaurant in Kobarid and the restaurant of Mateusz and his wife in Robic - directly on the border to Italy).
Thanks and best Regards
