“Immaculate B&B and great breakfast !”
Reviewed December 13, 2010

I stayed at Lemongrove House for 9 days at the end of November as part of a business trip.. This is an immaculate establishment and very professionally run. My bedroom was well appointed with a small TV, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathroom with shower. The owners were extremely helpful with my requests and a delight to stay with.Superb cooked breakfast or a choice of cereals with as much tea/coffee as you could drink. The WiFi in the bedroom was free .Only 1 mile from Enniscorthy town centre with plenty of dining/drinking options. If I was returning to this area for a holiday I would certainly stay here.

This is a wonderful establishment with a warm, friendly and homely welcome. Have stayed here several times and always return for the first and last nights of our annual weekly tour of Ireland.
I can highly recommend it

Don't normally stay in B&B's, and this is why. We were attending a family event, and this B&B was booked for us and other members of the extended family, by the organiser. The common areas, Dining Room, Hallways etc. were much better decorated than the bedrooms. The bedroom can be best described as reasonably sized, clean and functional. It did have tea/coffee facilities, and hairdryer, which you don't allways get in B&Bs which was a nice touch. However, the decor/furniture was rather dated and tired, the towels were quite worn, and the TV had appalling reception, most of the channels were so "snowy" they were unwatchable.

On the plus side though, Ann, the owner, was very pleasant and helpful, and very accommodating with late breakfasts for our group, and the breakfast was excellent.

The room was very clean & bright. Breakfast was fantastic. However, my experience with B&Bs in general left me a little disappointed with this one. Bring your own soap, conditioner, lotion, and any other items other than towels you would expect at a B&B because they aren't included. The hostess showed us our room. We asked a couple of questions and she was gone, never to be seen again until breakfast. There was some noise in the early evening and since the hostess was nowhere to be found, I was unable to comment about it. Overall, I didn't feel very welcome here.

I stayed at Lemon Grove House in Enniscorthy while visiting for a friend's wedding. I was in an ensuite twin room, and found the room lovely. The bathroom was very clean, and all the fixtures and fittings were useful and attractive. I think there was complimentary tea and coffee. The breakfast was also very good. The B&B is a little way out of town, but my friend and I were without a car, and managed fine. The staff even picked us up from the coach stop. Pretty nice!

  • Liked — The bedroom
  • Disliked — Slightly far out of town, but walkable
  • Tips/Secrets — Consider staying here, rather than paying more for a town centre hotel. It's barely any distance in the car.
