Spent the last 2 nights of our 2 week trip to Ireland here with Imelda, and wish we could have stayed longer. We were greeted so warmly upon arrival, and as it was cocktail time, Imelda brought ice to our beautiful, antique filled room, on a silver tray, with Waterford Crystal glasses. Breakfast was delicious, everything home made. This is a very special place, run by a very special woman. We enjoyed our time with Imelda and her family very much, and will definitely return.

Flemingstown House B&B is an 18th century manor house on a working cattle farm. It is furnished and decorated with exquisite taste and style. The rooms are large and well equipped to make for an extremely comfortable stay. The owner, Imelda, is an delightful hostess who greets you with true Irish charm, warmth and hospitality. The Breakfast menu is 5 star quality. The Breakfast table is laid with silver and Irish linen napkins. The museli, bread, cakes and cheese are home made and the presentation and attention to detail is amazing. Dinner is also available.

Staying with Imelda is an experience I will treasure always. I hope to return soon.

We stayed here on our second day in Ireland. We had a little trouble finding the house, but were richly rewarded once we found it. As we arrived and began to bring in our bags the tea service was already arriving in our room. After we unpacked and spent a few minutes admiring the quality of the furnishing provided in the room we started to relax.

Based on other reviews we called ahead and reserved dinner. The dinner was served in the gorgeous formal dinning room. Imelda had no problem making us a vegetarian dinner that was one of the best that I have ever had the enjoyment to eat. Each course was perfectly prepared and served on the family’s silver service. By the time dessert was served we were already talking about coming back.

Our room easily fit the four of us. Our children who are normally early raisers had trouble getting out of the comfortable beds. Next time we hope to send some time wondering around the farm seeing the animals and letting the kids just run and enjoy the green Irish environment.

This was a great house, a perfect stay for our first night in Ireland. Room was comfortable and nicely decorated. View of the fields and hills were wonderful. The hostess/owner was extremely nice and made us feel we were staying in our loving grandmother's home. Kilamock is a very nice little village and the 12th century abbey is worth exploring...no one was there and we got to roam around without any one else walking in front of our camera. We highly recommend it!

Recently stayed in Flemingstown House for the 3rd time. It is a 250 year old farmhouse, about 1.5 hours south of Shannon, outside a small medieval town called Kilmallock. Each of the 5 rooms are en suite, have comfortable beds, and are equipped with hairdryers and decorated with fresh flowers. The hostess, Imelda Sheedy-King, makes everyone feel warmly welcome. There is a guest lounge with books and a fireplace, lovely stained glass windows on the breakfast room, and views of the working dairy farm. Full Irish breakfast with the room, but Imelda will also fix you dinner. She is a terrific cook--our two dinners there were our best meals in Ireland. Fabulous tomato soup, great salmon, and be sure to have one her of many varieties of mashed/creamed/whipped potatoes. As one of my friends said, we felt like we had acquired an Irish mother who pampered us well.
