“Great Location, Pleasant Service & Stay”
Reviewed July 5, 2010

Located in downtown Nafplio, Hotel Latini is a quaint locale to hang up your shoes for the night as you travel through the Peloponnese. While the bathroom was a bit small, the room was pleasant with view to the harbor. The hotel staff was extremly friendly and breakfast exceeded typical continental expectations. Served with made-to-order coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, warm cheese pie and your selection of cereals, cold cuts & fresh yogurt. All enjoyed on their plaza side comfy benches "exo" (outside).

My wife and I went to this hotel in 2009, in our honeymoon, as a scale in our tour around Peloponnese. This was our first stop in our route. We experienced a nice, clean and friendly family hotel, honouring its name. It was low season, as we stayed there on may 2009.
The hotel is conveniently located and at a walking distance of best spots of this enchanting city, much more nice than any other city of Peloponnese (sorry about Monemvassia, but we didnt visit it). Very nice sorroundings.
The owner invited us a bottle of wine, as she heard about our honeymoon; she was very helpful.
The room was very nice with splendid views of the main square, with mediterranean environment with people chatting in the streets and tourists around (not so much as in summer).
When we woke up there were no service people in the hotel, but we made our own breakfast and went off.
Very advisable. Unbeatable relation price-quality.

Vassilly and Ivana, the owners of this well located spotlessly clean and comfortable hotel, are very helpful eager and able to make your stay in this beautiful city exceptional. The hotel is within walking distance of all of the sites, restaurants a very fine small museum and cultural foundation for folk arts and designs. Do do the 999 step walk to the citadel.

The location in the centre of Nafplio is excellent and one balcony in the sizeable suite looks out over the harbour. The quality of the breakfast is good, especially the cheese filled pastries and the fresh orange juice. The choice is very limited with no cooked breakfast or yoghurt; although some was obtained on request.
However, the suite was dirty, the furnishings were grubby, the carpets filthy and some of the bedding smelled. The sheets were only changed once in 6 days. The only staff appeared to be one pleasant lady who served breakfast and seemingly cleaned 9 rooms. The self- centred owner did high tech things like bookings and making cappuccinos although the latter generally arrived after the breakfast had been finished, if at all. The second balcony in the suite is of little use as it housed the central heating boiler and water tanks. The bathroom had good tiling but needed a new bath and there was no shower support. It seems the visitors are merely a means to a business end in a hotel that is more pensione than boutique hotel as described in one guide.

We stayed at the Latini hotel for two nights in July., We were given the top floor family room, since we were with our two teenagers. Yes, the stairs are especially rough going to the third floor attic. Just remember it is one time up and one time down with your luggage. The room was very clean. The decor simple. The housekeeper is very sweet and very helpful. Her English was not so good though. I speak Greek and was able to communicate with her. I don't know what others do. One evening we needed an extra towel, so I had seen were she kept them and just helped myself. This is like staying at someone's home. Very quiet and I hardly knew anyone else was staying at the Inn. Not noisy as the previous poster said. The balcony overlooked the harbor, which was pretty. We only saw Vassilis once and his wife twice. She is very lovely. The housekeeper seems to watch over things in the daytime. The owners leave their number at the front desk and you use your key for the back door as you leave and enter. The location is great. We loved Nafplion. Very quaint. We didn't stay for breakfast since my husband wanted eggs. There was a cute sidewalk cafe not far away for that. The restaurant right next door was very good. We had lunch there. Internet use was inconsistant. The lobby is very attractively decorated.

The hotel is quaint and clean, and is in a nice location (especially for parking, there is a lot very close by). The breakfast was small but adequate, and had a nice lady who served it. I can agree that there was not anyone at the reception desk often, but mostly we didn't need it. When we made our reservations, we asked for 2 babycots for our 1 year old twins. We were told "no problem", but when we got there, the owner told us they only had one. Fortunately, he was able to get another one from somewhere before the kids needed them. Our only complaint was issues with the internet, which the owner repeatedly attributed to my husband's computer (which was definitely not the problem). Overall, a pleasant stay, but as other reviewers have noted, be careful on the stairs!

We stayed for three days at Latini hotel, and the place was awful. Our aim was to have some days of relaxation while visiting the region, but unfortunately our stay in that place turned into a nightmare.

First of all, as other users said, the staircase is not advisable for many people and it constitutes a real handicap to get into the rooms due to the difficulty inherent to climbing the same.

Second, and worst of all, the noise. The rooms are not soundproof, and you can hear banging doors and any other single noise from other rooms and corridors. Also, there's the noise from outside. It is therefore impossible to get some sleep without being disturbed almost constantly.

Third, the breakfast is nothing extraordinary. It is very difficult to find someone at the reception and if you're lucky enough to find the owner or his Bulgarian wife you can realize what hypocrisy consists of
