We stayed 3 nights in early March before the flood of tour buses. Staff were welcoming, quietly friendly and professional. Our voluntarily upgraded room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The grounds are attractive and the area is quiet. We did not see another hotel we would rather have been in. During tour bus season, April to October, it will be a busy establishment as we believe the Amalia chain is designed for tour groups with large public areas, no or small restaurants but large dining rooms.

Room Tip: No reason not to choose an upper room.

We visited Amalia hotel last month for one night and even if the weather didn't allow us to walk around the gardens, they did look worth visiting. Our room was on the main floor with views at a pretty garden. The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. Our only disapointment was the breakfast. First of all it was from 7am to 10am, too early in our opinion and it was lacking of fresh cut fruit, variety of marmelades and sweets and fresh orange juice! It is embarrasing to be in a town, famous for its oranges, during the best season of oranges and to offer the guests that nasty orange flavoured liquid full of sugar. My boyfriend who tried the cereal could not eat them because they were as hard as paper. The hotel is very nice, they should be careful of these details!!

Stayed for a night in July. Clean and spacious hotel, with a small swimming pool with view to the nearby fields. If you have a car, the city centre is 10 mns away. Nothing really exceptional.... go for it if you can get a good offer.

I stayed at the Amalia for 1 evening during a company retreat. The room was spacious, clean, with a large bathroom. Well appointed. The breakfast (included) was OK. The common areas are recently refurbished. No complaints, no highlights. Good value for money. If you are visiting Nafplio, the Hotel is not very close, you will need to use a car or taxi, unless you like long walks.

We stayed two nights. Our room was at ground floor with no special view. Rooms and the bathroom were comfortable but there was no heating in the bathroom. Breakfast and food was not special. There was no wifi but there was a room with pcs. You need car because it's not close to town.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a viewof the garden, flowers are great! The pool area is also great.

We were staying in Nafplio for weekend, and booked before we arrived.
Lovely hotel, room spacious, nice bathroom.....robes and slippers a nice extra.
Bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in.
Obviously out of season so didn't try the pool, but it looked lovely.
quite a way out of Nafplio, so unless you like a hike, a taxi is a must.
